Thanks Daisy it is worth thinking about when some actual work comes in she is on the look out when anything comes in and I do tend to have my to do lists and also the marketing which I am quite enjoying. We are quite good with boundaries but sometimes with court deadlines DG just has to get work done so this morning she was up at 5am but she would normally finish early however someone booked her an app at 4.30pm UK time which is obviously an hour later here. Danes work 8am to 4pm and 1/2days Fridays. They have really strong unions so that is set. I really like that and we do actually tend to do the same. It is rare either of us works Saturdays unless we have taken the day off during the week.
I got quite a lot of progress made in the bar but I had to go and get some more materials Gemini told me I needed which did make sense. It constantly amazes me but I took a picture and added it and it changed its advice as it saw it there was some sort of wooden board up there which was correct. I would not trust it 100% but it helped me get the raw plugs out and they were solid. Anyway more filling and sanding today hopefully be able to paint tomorrow but I suspect it will be filling the large uneven area above the door.
Still no movement on the investment side as the investment bank is still consider if I am ok to invest due to not having a job and freaking out about where my money is coming from. It is annoying as I could have left the money in an interest paying acc but I moved it all thinking it would be done. I am desperate to start investing but I need to hold off hopefully today as they wrote to me last in Thursday.
Heating has been on over in the bar since 6am so hopefully it is not too bad when I head over there in a min. Have a lovely Tuesday and stay warm - here we have had more snow.

Why does prep for paint take so so long. I have done most of the prep in the bar but still need to sand both there and the holes in the house from the prev owners pictures so no not huge holes.
I have almost made the wine rack for the draws so that is really nice while I wait for the filler to dry. As it is an outside uninsulated wall I think I will wait until tomorrow to continue. It will need refilling again after sanding as I could not get it perfect being my first time doing it and above a door. Hopefully I can prime as it will be very little sanding needed but we shall see.
It looks so much better already inside eventhough I still need to sand and paint. I hope to blend it in and not have to do a whole wall. We shall see.

Morning got a load done yesterday so this new approach is working with me getting DIY and life admin sorted and DG working her two job while we wait to start the new thing together. She did 13 hours yesterday just crazy but that is the legal world I am just glad I am not part of that really.
Got a nice email from the UK taxman he owes me £609 so that was a nice surprize he even had my Danish address less nice is that he is sending me a cheque but hopefully I can cash that via my phone.
My investment account is still locked I might chase them today as it has been really what feels like forever. Spoke to friends yesterday and we can start sending stuff to her address so big Amazon order later on today. Might do a mini to do list for today.
Finished assembling my cardigan it is quite large but still wearable I just knot really loosely so I am glad I chose smaller needles and small size for the next project. I am really enjoying knitting again. Something creative to do when watching telly. Also help when you cannot really garden in the winter we still have snow here.
List for today, might add more as we go along

Morning electrician and been in touch so I haven ow added the job of fitting new sensors for the outside lights as they are so irritating and keep coming on. There is no override so you cannot switch them off.
Sorted the trains out for DG she just needs to book them any little thing I can do for her helps the workload even if I do not enjoy doing it. My marketing is going well I had 500 views on one facebook group post and I am getting views on Linkedin. My finance account is hopefully moving along now they have obviously looked me up and asked about the business I am promoting online. It is fine so I just had to explain I am doing it for no money. At least they are doing their due diligence very thorough.
Wanted to make a display wall for all DGs hats and thought we had to get some new straps to hang them from. Actually all we need is some stick on hooks so I can get those today and that is them up and looking nice again from being stuck in a bag.
I really hope I can get a lot of the painting done today. I am going to the vets for 3pm so can pick up the gloss in the right colour. Hopefully the actual wall will be done today I really hope so.
Booked DGs haircut for next week so that is all sorted.

Morning a bit later today but the heating is on in the bar and I determined to get it done today. All I need is a paint of gloss and one of wall paint then we are done so should be fine. I also want to clean the room and put things back plus if I have time start on the D fix.
Vets was fine the boys have each lost 200gram so that is progress and I bought some more of the cat food. You actually get the 6th packet free and they are 7 kilo bags so will last a while. I forgot to get the hooks for the hat display but we will no doubt be going to the shops during the week anyway. The handball semi and the finale is this weekend and I really want to watch it over there.
Bill came in for the new door and window it was £600 less so that was a nice surprise I do have to pay it and then DG will pay me back. It does look good so I am pleased with it and we will get lots of use out of it.
Still no movement on the investment bank I guess it will be Monday now. I do need to chase the Ombudsman to see what is happening with Virgin.
To do (I wont do a list as it does those double lines)
Finish paining, chase ombudsman, pay carpenter,

So here we are another Saturday and we have snow outside but it is not causing any hassle. We watched the handball semi final in the home cinema last night and it was really nice. We did have a few teething problems as DG did something to the main amazon stick but the handball was fine streamed through my phone. We are now in the final for Sunday so that will be interesting it is the big game over here also the ladies handball is very popular. Reason we could watch it in there was because I got it all done and it looks really nice. The box to hide the wires does look rubbish where I added the Dfix but with the projector in front it is not too bad. We still need to do the worktop and the projector platform in Dfix and then there are the 28 cupboards and individual draws to paint. That will be fun indeed.
Next project will be the bedroom that needs a feature wall in pink or one of the greens from the William Morris print. We also want to the the walk in wardrobe in the same colour as it is just a white box. When interior designers talk about a colour theme or thread in a house well here we have white that is it. We got the hooks to do the hat wall in the office so that can be done today or tomorrow. It is actually nice to have no plans for the weekend (DG is still asleep).
I also got the long awaited email that my investment account was now open so promptly transferred and invested a good bulk load in the new shares account and a global investment account. Not individual shares just EFTs and Funds. I can transfer more over obviously and then keep it in there as they pay interest at least.
I also paid the carpenter but I still need to find a plumber plus I want someone to trim my apple trees but I cannot find anyone.
Next week will be a bit busier I have my creative lounge evening on Weds, Thursday is volunteering at cinema and Saturday is Ink blowing class.

Wow, you are really blasting through everything. I absolutely love that wooden chair in the corner btw.
I also agree about painting. I love painting walls, but the prep takes far longer than the actual painting and is very dull!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend I really did it was so good just to chill out and also watch two amazing handball games on the big screen and we won we are now the European champions and also hold the World Cup and the Olympic gold.
We also managed to get the d fix onto the worktop it was really hard but it looks so so good I am so glad we did it. Now the big last job is painting the draws and cupboard doors there are 28 of them and we need new handles as well. We do also need to fit the new blind and cut it to size but that should not be that bad.
I also looked at local fitness classes and found the trampoline one you know the mini ones. They had two spaces left at the local hall which is 2min from here you could even walk there. I emailed them and she came back it was fine to join even if it started 4 weeks ago. She even knocked 25% off the price so we can now go weekly until the end of June for £50 which is really good I think. Unfortunately it will clash with the ladies golf game which starts in April but we could just play during the day and do both. However that will require some real fitness if we are to do this. We shall see just feels good to get something booked in when that bloody bootcamp never took off and I am still out of pocket. I must chase him the stupid scammer.
The brakes on the car are making a noise so I have booked it into the local garage which is 5 min walk from here so that is really handy. I love when things are online and you do not have to speak to people. I do need to get someone to prune my apple trees but I have found someone who has an advert in the local shop who is a gardener which is what I need.
I do also need to do my marketing so best get on with that.

Afternoon well it is here in Denmark. I am just so fed up as I have been trying to shorten the Jysk blind since this morning and it is just not budging what a crap system. I need to cut off 16cm to fit inside the window frame but I am tempted to attach it outside the frame but the worry is I might hit the lintel and then we cannot get the screws in. I can take it back to the shop and i have just found the receipt so that is cool.
Guy came out to look at the trees he can do them next week so that is cool. Not sure I like him he was very quiet I was hoping to possibly use him for planting a new hedge but now I am not sure. Scammer came back via email for the first time asking for my bank details but I am not holding my breath. We have our first fitness class tonight I am looking forward to it.
Garage changed my app to next Monday as they can then get the parts in so that is fine. I have been doing some budgeting and now that DG is paying towards the bills it looking better I must say. I need to work out how much money to keep un invested to live on until we get an income from the business. DG has taken on our first client so that is really cool actually. I still have those horror pension forms to do that I do not understand I am really not looking forward to those. I might have to ask the Danish Association for help with them. Other than that not a lot going on.

Morning the jumping class was so good last night we both really enjoyed it. It was hard and the old body is aching today but it feels good to be back doing something. It is just too cold for golf honestly there is snow on the ground and its -5 but it feels like -14.
I am going to take the blind back to the shop and see if they will swap it. I know it is partly my fault but reading the reviews on this product many many say the same thing it is a stupid design.
I finished looking at the finance stuff yesterday and did a proper budget. Now that DG is paying her share of the bills and food I have made some decisions on what to keep in savings and what to invest. Oh forgot to say I won £150 on the old PB DG got nothing so that was not great on the max holding.
Anyway back to the budget. If we assume worst case scenario I will need to contribute to the bills and pay my own personal expenses (clothes, hobbies (not golf membership) etc for two years and leaving the PB money in the UK so any wins pays for holidays then I can invest another £85K in a Global Fund. That puts me back to where I was investmentwise before I bought this house. The money I took out of the pension is in PB and I have £80K left in cash to buy a car and do the final house improvements. This figure might be too high but I would rather keep it safe.
It has been really complicated to work out but I think I have got there. There is obviously the very good possibility of the business I am working on will pay for the bills and food and then all we have to find is our own spending money but I have allowed for that not to be the case.
What happens in 2 years well we re-evaluate and work out where we are at. The PBs are in effect cash so can be spent any time needed. It has also been further complicated by the Danish tax system being so crazy and hard to understand. I have maximised what I can here but I will still be paying a lot in tax on the returns on my investments and even my pensions. They will stay in England I just need to change the address on both of them I was actually sure I had done it but maybe not. At least I can ask them to send me the policy documents which i need to fill in that horrible Danish tax form I am so struggling with.
