Your house looks amazing (I also love your cat!) - fantastic painting, and all the furniture/accessories look so good too. Everything sounds as if it's going really well. Congratulations on your 1-year anniversary!

Goodness that year has flown past. Congratulations

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks Catclaires, Watty1 and Mrs_Money_Penny it has gone so fast and so muc has happened. I actually think it was around that time the buyers for the English house first approached because I remember being away on business. That was when the plans really came together and then it was May I went to see this house too.

We did have a lovely weekend actually it was hard work hosting 12 people and they only stayed for about 3 hours but it was fine. My sister and hubby stayed a bit longer and I introduced them to ink blowing. My sister loved it my mum less so. She came on Saturday evening eventually after she got the train so it was nice she could be part of it. Yesterday she wanted to go back home today but I hope to get her to stay as she is really not well and could do with some looking after.

Today I hope she just sleeps I have some marketing to do and some work with DG. The two leads we got ourselves are still live so might convert to business which is nice. I am getting a lot of traction on socials so I am going to carry on with that.

    Have a lovely Monday everyone.

Right missed a day yesterday but today all focus and getting things done. Our business emails were not working at all so the emails I have sent to our first two clients did not arrive which was not good. It is working now so I might resend them with an apology.

My mum went back yesterday so I have a bit more time now. She did get stronger by the end but I do wish she had stayed a bit longer but she had things to do back home today and a her car was booked in for a service. At least she now knows she can take the train over here which means she does not have to drive.

I do need to get a birthday present for my mum. She says there is nothing she needs but I would quite like to buy her some nice fitted sheets. She only have flat sheets which I think are awful and she only has 2. She did like my pretty bedcovers so I might get her a set of that as well. I would like to book something for her but she is always so busy and it has to be when she is over here. I will have to have a think as it is the 3/3.

My apple trees has been trimmed they look great but I have to remove the cuttings. I can use some for supports in the garden I always envied Monte that he had apple pruning's for his peas well now I have those too.

Right best crack on with that to do list it is getting longer.

Morning got the work emails sorted yesterday so the business side can now look a bit more professional again. Sadly the two leads we had have gone quiet but I am still optimistic one will convert to work for us.

I am going to spend some time in the garden today as there really isnt much for me to do otherwise on the business. I should have done a linked in post but I just I not got anything to write about lol. I do not want to be one of those that just tout for business.

I do need to crack on with those pension documents as you only get so long to do it plus the driving license it would be nice to have it on my phone as you have to have it with you when you drive. I might do one of those as they have been on there forever. It is more fun to do things in the garden for sure. EDIT did the license thing and if the guidance is correct i might have to take a new test or in best case scenario do a traffic first aid course plus get a medical certificate. Oh the fun of Brexit!

Anyway best crack on with things.

Got a load done on the to do list as there is nothing else I can do on the work side. One lead is likely to convert so that is actually really good news after 2 months of solid marketing at no cost. The second one I am not so sure about but we shall see.

I am really keen to get out in the garden and see what there is any start making it my own. I do actually like the bones of it and I found some lovely snowdrops under the two clematis I love spring bulbs but I only put some in pots as I did not know what was already here. so that was really nice. Winter aconites are my favourites I would never grow them in my first house in the UK but the second one I actually got them to take at the back of the garden finally. I do not think there are any here but I bought two pots to plant out but I just do not know where they would like to be. I have some crabapple trees I might go for there. My sister has moles and they eat all bulbs she plants.

We had a go at the new icecream machine last night and it was lush. I do not think we need to buy icecream anymore we just need to make sure we do not eat too much. Tomorrow we are going to have a date night in the pool bar so we will freeze some containers of cocktail and try that version. We really need to get a freezer in the bar the other one is rammed.

I am looking forward to catching up with a workmate today she said she would call but we shall see. I do miss her I hope we do not lose touch.

Morning I actually have work to do as our first client who came in via my marketing has signed up and paid. It is such good news things are starting to move forward on the work side. Just a shame the work is so boring but I know that however it is stress free.

We had a really nice weekend. Meal in the Pool bar Saturday and using the ice-cream machine to make frozen cocktails that were so nice. We did get to the tip but I still have more branches to cut up and get down there. Now it is getting warmer I am itching to get out into the garden. I need to move some lavenders that are currently in the raised bed which is where my veg will be. I also want to sort out the front which is raised with an edge of concrete blocks but the soil behind as sunk so now the grass looks a mess. The two other neighbours have nice flat front gardens neatly up to the raised bit. I might have a flower bed near the edge of mine with trailing plants but I might need to level it out first.

This week is quite busy as I have jumping class Tuesday, the creative café Wednesday and my Danish friend is visiting on Friday so that will be nice. We then have my nieces gymnastics show Saturday and Sunday we are going to see international handball. My mums birthday is tomorrow and I have no present for her yet which is terrible but I do not know if she is actually coming over on Friday or not.

Looks like I do not need to take my test again but the answer was quite frankly rubbish so I have asked for clarification over date of issue for a driving license.

I have also finally booked to have my haircut 3 weeks wait but I really like this one and I could have booked sooner I know.

Spoke to ex workmate Friday which was lovely as she is a friend now too. She is busy busy with the new structure but they are struggling to recruit. I am still glad I left to be honest.

Right best get back to work.

Morning actually have work to do to help DG so cannot procrastinate too much today. Lovely lovely Spring weather here yesterday we had sun all day. It has gone from freezing snow to Spring in like just over a week. Crazy.

I got out in the garden and started to cut all the old stuff back so it looks nice. I did not finish it all as we decided to go to the tip but that was the last of the apple branches so that area is now clear. I do still need to move the lavender or ditch them or take cuttings from them. That would have to be done in summer not now sadly we shall see they are just in the wrong place right now but it is not as if I am short on space now with 1/4 acre which is crazy actually. I recon the front garden is as big as my first house's back garden. I felt blessed to have two parking spaces at my first house and we then had almost 4 at the next was even more bliss. Here I can easily get 4 in and with the new land probably 10 cars if I need too. Currently my new land is being used to park large tractors as next door is building a barn for his new house. He does have a wine yard so it makes sense. I spoke to him yesterday he should have his house finished end of April so he was very happy no delays so far. Its slightly bigger than ours but same bungalow style. He did comment that we had turned our garage into a habitable room. I said it is just for parties no one is going to live there. I am not sure if he was having a dig maybe we should have sought permission but we planned it before he had even started building anything and the only thing the bar looks out onto is his carport and I think his front drive. DG recon he was just making conversation. That building was never meant for cars anyway possibly mote cycles with the weird ramp there is on front of it. He was nice enough otherwise saying he will be going to the land associations AGM we shall go as well just to meet more neighbours. We do own our own land but also the roads hence the land association.

I actually saw I job in Denmark I can do it would fit my experience perfectly sadly you had to be in the office 2 to 3 days a week in Copenhagen and it was a part time job. It was for the Danish association no salary though and it sounded more like a PA to the chief or something so probably not that well paid.

I was still trying to make swatches for my new knitting project but the gauge is just not right even with tiny needles so asked Gemini and it found a new pattern from the same shop so I have bought that in English (the Danish one did not make sense anyway) so now I have started and so far so good with Geminis help.

Anyway DG and I have got our first client to work on and we will get more I know that. I can also help her with the big cases which is what I am doing today.

Right best crack on Jumping later so all good here.

What an awful evening last night all due to DGs big cases. She has been trying to get information from a vulnerable but quite capable client for 3 months. Lots of deadlines missed but extended and yesterday 4pm was the absolute deadline. She was due to send it all by 12 noon and we knew she was working on it. It arrived 30 min before the deadline and it was so big and in such a format that it just could not be shared or downloaded despite two calls to IT. DG was totally out of her mind and screaming and shouting. I can see what the stress is doing to her but I would also say DG had no clue it would not work when she finally got the information as IT had said the client could transfer it that way. In the end the other side complained to the court which did not help DGs mood. She ended up having a drink in the pool bar and she is still sleeping over there. I do despair but the sooner these cases goes the better.

Onto nice things I did get a lot done in the garden yesterday and there are more bulbs than I first thought. Saw crocus and daffs and some more tulips. It is frosty today which is a shame but hopefully all the small plants that are re-emerging will be safe. I need to expand the bed or make a second one I can move things to as it is so overcrowded. I got an email with offers on dahlias and they had my favourite ones so had to order them for my pots like I had in my old garden. They also have self-watering boxes you lay a growbag over to grow tomatoes and cucumber so got two of those and 2 boxes on wheels to sit them on so you can have them on your patio and they look nice. Two Felco tools also fell into the box but when I tried to order soil they added so much postage it was not worth it. I really cannot wait to get started properly in the garden and it is obviously also so cool that I have so so much space.

Workwise I have some stuff to do today that DG then needs to check for me so that is all good. I also need to prepare for next weeks social media. I am not sure what we shall go with I made a mistake on my casestudy so I need to be a bit careful. Gemini was not my friend at that stage.

Tonight it is the creative cafe and I can wear the sweater I knitted there last month and I have started my new one and it is going quite well. I do also need to prepare for my friend coming on Friday I have known here since we were both 15 she is one of 2 friends I have left from when I lived in Denmark before the UK.

Just adding forgot to say we did win on the PB yesterday £100 for DG and £75 for me not too bad but not brilliant either. We have decided to keep my dads car for a while longer (as long as my sister is ok about it) as our friend in the UK can fix it for about £1000 (paint work is really dented). The PB money can then sit there and be towards a car when the time comes.

The work I am doing right now is so boring I needed a distraction so went to the post box and there was my tax refund cheque. Managed to pay it into the bank so win win. Now the national postal service has stopped in Denmark the private company that is doing it is really crap so I am just glad it did eventually arrive. It was dates 27.1 so quite some journey. Right back to work.
