Thanks VandaFC no news as of yet but good golf game yesterday and a nice chilled day today apart from we decided to invite a load of golf club friends here for a leaving party. We never had a moving in party or my 50th so this is it however we are not getting many no and we have invited nearly 100 which is a bit insane. Only saving grace is that they are not all coming at the same time as the party is from 2pm thank goodness. We cannot leave without saying goodbye really these are people I have known for 25 years so hope to keep in touch. I will have to get catering in and we can get booze etc at Bookers. Yes it will cost but sometimes you just have to splash out. We have done it when my niece and friend is over so we can get help, mean I know. 

Buyers meeting went fine they are really nice couple. They have no set dates but sounds like they could move possibly as soon as mid July. We quickly averted that and we are now looking mid August we think. They had not got the paperwork we sent to our solicitors on Monday so that was really disappointing. So they still do not know we want money for the hottub but they are basically happy to leave everything we do not want so that is very handy as we can also use it right up to the last minute. 

I am now going to contact the removers we might just have to bite the bullet and set a date for moving the stuff out even if we have not exchanged yet. We shall see but hopefully get some idea of dates once this paperwork has arrived at the buyers solicitors. 

It is not a bank holiday in Denmark tomorrow so we might hear more. We are playing a knockout match so lets see what happens. 

In the meantime we are looking at all the rsvp's and thinking how are we going to fit all those people in and what if the weather is truly awful.

We are still in negotiation phase for the house they rejected our offer and are currently offering £5K off. Our adviser thought we wanted 1st Oct exchange which we do not but we know the person wants a quick sale so that will now help that she can go back and counter offer and say exchange whenever. We have also said we would be happy to have any stuff they might wish to leave. We shall see but I think we will end up with a £10K reduction which would be fine but more is better obviously. 

Golf was good but we lost. Good game though. As for the party we are now up to 45 people not all coming in the evening thank goodness. If it rains we are screwed basically but lets wait and see. Need to start looking at catering etc when we are a bit more sure on numbers. 

Our buyers have now had the contract and the forms we completed so all is good. She was due to pop over and see the pool guy but he might not come as it is so wet today. I would be happy to postpone as we can't really go in anyway. 

I have also heard from the Land Registry I need to prove ID so will get a workmate to do that for me I just need to email her today really. My exBIL has gone totally quiet I doubt I will get the business premises sold before I leave sadly. 

Work is fine I have a quiet week so DG is cooking lunch which I actually look forward to. It is normally me who does it. Sad about the rain but really good for the garden.

Crap we have now been told the house is going to full and final offers by tomorrow 12 noon that is such bad news! We are prepared to offer full asking as we do not want to lose it so asked our adviser if she has time for a quick call. Why are things never simple honestly those houses never sell that quickly in that area!!

Boring you with more house stuff we are now going final offers £1680 over asking price which I really begrudge but if we were to rent and build our own it would cost more than that and it is also the hassle of it. This really feel like the one but I am also so sick of estate agents and their games. We have said we will give it 24 hours and that is it no more games. Sorry does not feel very MSE but we looked and there are no other houses we would even consider in that area right now. 

I sold some glass on Vinted posted it last night £27 profit as it was something I inherited and I really did not want.

We did go to Ikea last night and found the perfect set up with desks for our new office (whichever house we do end up with). We also saw lights that would work and the desks have electric cable in them so it is neat to plug a load of stuff in which is super important for DG. 

I will update we have given them 24 hours to get back to us.

Thanks vandafc, Mrs_money-penny and LWAP I am 99% certain we will get it and they are having a meeting today at 12 noon our time to discuss which is a bank holiday in DK so they must take us serious when we gave them a 24 hours deadline back after they gave us the same for the bids. 

I am content but still annoying it has gone like this but it is what it is and £1700 is not a lot in the grand scheme of things. It is actually more annoying the stock market lost so much due to that idiot across the pond. All money had to be transferred by 19th June so that means I need to do this if it is a yes today:

1. Contact Danish bank get that ball rolling (he is away until 2/6 as it is a BH)
2. Get my S&S cashed in, calling the rubbish finance company who I can now finally part with (happy dance that is) 
3. Get my Premium Bonds cashed in after the draw obviously and move to new account in DK when ready
4. Withdraw my cash ISA and move to new Danish Account. 
5. Get my mum to move the deposit over now which is about £9K
6. Get my mum to transfer what is left over to meet the asking price plus any taxes and fees I am not sure about.

That will then be the exchange on the 19th June and then completion and keys are 15/8 which is a tad later than I had hoped for so I now need to contact removal company and see what availability they have around that time to move us. 


So we await the 1pm deadline and this will all need to be actioned

In other news I went and did some sewing with the lady I met at sewing club and it was lovely took my mind right off things here. Doing it again Weds too. Cancelling gym tonight and will instead start a mammoth to do list for the move. I have quite a few meetings today so best crack on.
