Thanks earthgirl2 it was definitely that and I am so glad we are not at that hotel this morning even if I am not looking forward to work right now.

I have so enjoyed the fab weather got some stuff done in the garden and decluttered my garden shed. Then DG helped and we got the second car filled up which I took to the tip yesterday. So nice to see more stuff go especially stuff we have been hanging onto for 5 years or longer just in case and we have never needed. Loft is getting clearer which is really great.

I also made a start on getting a card done for DGs birthday. I have not got her a present yet because she keeps changing her mind what she wants. I will look in Denmark as I know she needs clothes but I have only got a small rucksack coming back so wont be able to take much so I will leave stuff there was it wont be long until we are living over there.

I am going to book to view the older house nearer to town just for a comparison. My mum thought it worth it but she definitely likes the lake house and that is by far my favorite too. An old friend of mine in Denmark has a workmate who grew up in the area we are looking so she is going to ask her and get back to me. That would be helpful as I would like to know if the town really is as amazing as it sounds.

DG is back being upset about her golf again sadly the lesson effect did not last long. I was ok playing yesterday but she needs to decide if she will rejoin or not as this is getting too much now. If she does not rejoin she will need to find a new gym which is a bit silly. We are putting the membership fee onto DGs new CC but the pin has not arrived so we cannot pay yet so hopefully by Wednesday it is here as that is the last day for payment.

I am going to have a fitting for golf clubs tomorrow so that will be expensive but mine are over 20 years old so it was about time I changed them. Who knows they might even improve my game!

Before I leave on Wednesday I do have a big to do list I am going to write it here so I do not forget anything.

Order last min food present to be delivered via ASDA tomorrow
    Pack my clothes and toiletries
    Order Dgs birthday card done
    Pay golf club membership

    Longer term to do list:
    Cancel British Gas plan
    Cancel Car service plan.
    Sort out Nationwide

Hope you all have a lovely Monday.

Still no pin for dgs card I really hope it turns up today or latest tomorrow so we can pay our membership. DG went and hit some golf balls and she has now finally realised it is her head that means she cannot play in competitions. She never really got used to playing with other people and that is still apparent today. I am glad she realised finally maybe we can move forward now as she does enjoy it she even made me sign up for the bank holiday competition that's the day after I get home.

The electricity board is working outside our house today so we are blocked in unless I tell them to move things as I am going out for the club fitting later.

Work is really depressing but I have leave coming up so will miss most of the drame with the changes for the start of May which I am actually glad about. Our team is only going to get busier as we get cut down really not ideal.

Only two weeks to we go to Turkey with our friends. This is because DG does not want to celebrate her birthday lol. They are looking at excursions that are a 7 hour round trip with a coach. Sorry I just cannot face that on holiday so we have found something more local to do instead.

Anyway Denmark first I have now booked 3 houses and have my firm favorite so will be interesting to compare.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the houses once you are back.  Good for her realising what the issue is with the golf, its been very love or hate for her

Thanks to Earthgirl I am getting really excited the only thing is my sister keeps sending me pictures of properties in a another area that is also really nice but a bit smaller but more life than the one with the lake house. DG has not seen this other town so not keen to switch but I will visit.

Still not received the pin for the interest free credit card getting a bit close now so I might have to stick it all on my credit card. Not the plan but lets see post person might still arrive in time we have 1 hour until my train.

I am taking this really old suitcase which is a real pain to travel with but it means I can leave it over there and then just come back with a rucksack. Very MSE and I really do not need anything plus I can start to leave stuff over there.

Sorted a few admin jobs out so that is really nice. Dg is taking me to the station soon and then it is train, plan and train before my mum picks me up. I should be with my sister about 8pm I recon. No viewings tomorrow but I cannot wait for Friday not.

Take care all and enjoy the lovely weather.

Thanks Mrs Money Penny I’m at the airport now nice and chilled no train stress at all.

Pin did not arrive but managed to set up online banking then find the pin so could register the app and then pay. Phew all done and on interest free now was a bit of a close call.

Just a quick check in I’m at my sisters still. We’ve had a nice relaxing time with fab weather.

Thursday saw a couple of areas and visited the lake house. I immediately loved the area it’s in. We then got to view it Friday and the previous favorite house. It’s exactly like it is on the pictures which was nice. A little bit dark the kitchen but that can be remedied by taking a half wall down and making the kitchen peninsula wider instead. The largest spare bedroom has views over the lake/pond and is perfect for the office. Garden and outbuildings are all great too.

Saw the second house we were pressured to buy and it’s not a patch on this one. No real views very dark yes it has a pantry but that’s about it.

So we’re going for the lake house and will speak to our Danish lawyers and get the ball rolling.  It all feels really real now my mum is so excited now.

Cancelled viewing the older house as we know this is the one now.

Chilling today but have been to a charity shop in the local town. Some great furniture so we can get some stuff while waiting for new stuff like sofas.

Home tomorrow then golf Monday and Turkey Saturday morning so packed programme.

Back now and we have our meeting with the Danish lawyer later on this morning I cannot wait to get this started. I am going to try to play it cool for as long as possible so I do not have to take the money out of investments too soon. I am now just over £6K under where I would like to be so things are recovering. I have still gained £9.5K on my investment but from its peak we are still £11K down but this was before I was even looking to cash it in. I was talking to my mum as well and if we delay getting this house then we are actually letting that big orange nuisance stop our lives over here. I do not want to do this. Lets see if we can get a nice discount on the house and then move once we are back from Turkey. We still need to tell our lawyers that we need a contract drawn up so that is next step plus speak to our buyers.

Today I do need to do some work I have a report to draft so that is the first step after this meeting. Other financial news we have 3 of the free green fee tickets we still need another 3 for DG but they usually come later on. I did not win anything in the Premium Bonds we shall see if we get another draw in before they need to be withdrawn. Once I get the money for this house they will be rebought and at the full amount.

Right clock is ticking best get some work done before this meeting.
