I’m wondering about this emergency alert test next Sunday and what happens when you’re out of the country as we’ll be in Lanzarote at 3pm and on Spanish airwaves. Not that I’m bothered about missing it, I just wondered.

I assume that as it's sent out via phone masts, you will be out of range? The way I read it, it's a generalised thing so if your phone is compatible with a local mast and you don't have alerts switched off, you will get it.

I'm quite interested to get it: goodness knows why as it's been trailed a lot, including how the message will look, so I'll probably just press 'okay' and meander onwards.

Just been looking at twitbook. A lot of people seem totally clueless about it happening. They will get a shock next week.

That's Monday done, 4 more working days to go.

Worked in the office until lunchtime and finished up at home. The office was very busy today.

Not a NSD as I bought myself a dressing gown for holiday from M&S. I needed a lightweight one for holiday purposes and they had a lovely waffle one with palm trees on it and 15% off.

Monday finance check has been done and there seems to be a discrepancy of £15.06 which is odd, I'm sure all will become clear in the next few days, there must be something I've missed. CC balance has been cleared and the princely sum of 14p sent to the 1p savings pot. Survey cash out yesterday was £14.94 so over my £10 target.

Today's exercise is walking to/from work, should end the day on 20,000 steps or thereabouts. I'm going to do a stretching session shortly, feel like I need it.

Tonight's dinner is leftover chickpea curry from Saturday, looking forward to that, it always feels like a treat to have curry on a Monday 😁

Cleaning task is the kitchen and change/wash the bedding ready to peg out tomorrow morning.

Thanks SA, make sense if the cash points are dodgy where you go.

I use accounts like chase that offer visa or Mastercard FX rates with no commission so I put money in to use my debit card and just withdraw cash at a cashpoint on a bank (although I agree you see them a lot less than you used to).

I found a YT review and tour of the apartments we’re staying in next week and they look great for us with your own sun beds on your terrace so no sun bed wars like in some places. All Mr SA was interested in was the TV in the room has ITV, BBC and C4 😬

On the plus side this means I can sunbathe in peace with my book and earphones in while he watches TV 🥳

You can turn the emergency alert off from your settings. I read an article last week saying the police were concerned about victims of domestic abuse that have been given a phone as a back up in case they need to ring the police when they are being threatened, that their partners were unaware of. Also AA and RAC were concerned about drivers who are unaware of the alert and might have an accident when their phones go off.

That sounds ideal SA sunbathing on the terrace and reading your book hopefully in peace.xx
