We used to watch Come Dancing when I was a child. I used to love looking at the beautiful costumes. We also watched The Black and White Minstrel Show (I know 🥴) but the ladies' dresses were also gorgeous.2

I never really got what the problem was with the B & W minstrel show. I had black friends back then who didn't give a monkeys about it. I thought it was mostly men who blacked up so that other men didn't say things along the lines of look at those nancy boys prancing about. Times change, lets face it most of Agatha Christie is unacceptable now, some of it was even when she wrote it.2

That’s another weekend done ☹️
Didn’t wake up until almost 7am this morning! I must’ve needed the sleep though. DD was just leaving for work. Mr SA and the dog didn’t get up until 9am.Not a NSD as we went to the big Mr T. I took advantage of the 6 bottles of wine with 25% off and Mr SA wanted to try a different brand of lager that was only £10 a crate. I used some Clubcard vouchers to buy the new Jamie Oliver cookbook, there’s quite a lot in there I’ll make, he gives veggie alternatives to a lot of the meat recipes.Dropped off the soft plastics recycling and recycled a couple of make up items. Also stopped off at Mr SA’s favourite charity shop, dropped off a bag of donations and bought a wheeled walker for Mr SA and 5 books for £1 for me (yes more books 😬).Finally got round to setting up my new scales that measure body mass, visceral fat, etc via an app. I was pleased to find everything is good. Also pleased to find I’m the same weight I was before the holiday so if I put anything on it’s gone and I never knew anything about it 🤣
My WW app has updated to show macros and totals to aim for against what I’ve had, which is useful. Both of the above are brilliant as a guide but I’m not going to get obsessed with them. After lunch cut the grass and did some weeding.Today’s exercise was walking to/from Mr T and gardening this afternoon.Tonight’s dinner was roast veg with veggie sausage and tomato lentils. A bit of a mash up of fridge, freezer and store cupboard stocks. Also finally used up a garlic flatbread that’s been in the freezer forever.Made a batch of butternut squash soup for work lunches.Enjoyed leftover Prosecco from last night 🥂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -

I just put a teaspoon in the top and put it back in the fridge. It seems to keep reasonably fizzy for the following day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
Happy Monday everyone.
Worked in the office until lunchtime then back home to finish up.
Picked up my free weekly coffee on the way to work.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home and spent the princely sum of £2.29. Picked up the free crisps item. They had loads of veg boxes but they put them in such a stupid place it's a right faff to buy them. They're after the checkouts so to buy them you have to fight your way backwards through the queues to join the end of the queue again. In the end I couldn't be bothered plus I have the organic veg box coming tomorrow morning.
Oh my days - out of the 5 books I bought from the charity shop yesterday, I've already read 1 and already have 2 on my bookshelves 🤣 Good job they're only £1 for 5.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's strength training tonight. I've also joined a week long yoga challenge, just 5-10 minutes a day so will do that as well. I also managed to fit in a very short mindfulness session before I set off for work about setting your intentions for the day. Ideally I'd like to fit in short yoga and mindfulness sessions every day, it's getting into the habit more than anything and setting aside time.
Tonight's dinner is leftovers of the veggie sausage traybake I made yesterday.

The books thing just shows how much you must want to read them.3
