That’s Friday done. The big work job didn’t materialise 🥳 I believe someone found a way to automate the spreadsheet rather than manual input 🤞
Managed my early finish I didn’t think would happen at one stage.Finished my current book which was slated on Good Reads but I couldn’t put it down, I really enjoyed it.Had a lovely soak in the bath with a face mask on. Put the dog in it after me as she has a vet check up tomorrow. The bath really livened her up and she’s been running around like a puppy ever since 🤣
Tonight’s dinner was lightly dusted yellowfin sole with potato wedges and steamed veg. Will be putting my feet up with a G&T shortly.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
If its any comfort you will quite often find me looking out of the bedroom window in the early hours when I need to get up for the loo. In my case I am usually looking for foxes.2

I do the same. It is usually for burglars though!

For me it's the moon or the aurora. No street lighting so I hear what I imagine are hedgehogs but it's too dark to see unless I put the house lights on, which I imagine would scare them.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Forgot to say the wheelchair Mr SA has had on loan since 2013 has been picked up at my request. To be fair it came in handy for me both times I broke my leg (not the same leg) more than he used it. I’m not planning to break my leg again now both have had a turn 🤞🤣He still needs a wheelchair but it must be lightweight and easy for me to push and fold up. The one on loan was self propelled and very heavy and cumbersome. We will need to buy one before DS’s wedding, he won’t be able to stand for long. A lightweight one would also be handy if we need to go anywhere via bus or train.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Happy Saturday 🥂
Had a very busy morning. The dog had her annual booster and check up at the vets. After that treated Mr SA to his beloved Gr£ggs sausage roll and coffee, noticed I had a free birthday sweet treat on my app so he got a chocolate chip cookie too. Popped into BnM and spent less than £10 which is very unusual for me 😆 However I did buy a brilliant peg bag that’s like a handbag you put on your shoulder. I’m always battling with my peg bag so this is brilliant. How did I get to the stage of getting excited over a peg bag 🤣
Stopped off at the nearby Lid! to pick up a sack of potatoes free with the coupon. Then stopped at Mr T to drop off the soft plastics. I’d had my eye on a lovely leather look jacket and was waiting for them to do 25% off which they’re doing right now. Tried it on but disappointed to find the sleeves were far too long for me despite it being XS, what a shame 😞
Finally got back home at 12.30 having left home at 9. I had done just over 18,000 steps nonstop.Mr SA was ‘starving’ by the time we got in so ended up making his lunch straight away. He always seems to be hungry and claims it’s because he’s not absorbing nutrients because of his IBD 😐 I did query what nutrients he thought there were in a Gr£ggs sausage roll.
Managed to dash outside and get the washing in before the heavens opened. Thankfully it was dry so it’s been ironed and put away.Tomorrow is earmarked for Big Cleaning Up Day. DD is working so that’s one less person in the house to get in the way.As the sun is back out again Mr SA has taken the dog on the park.I picked all the unripened tomatoes the other day as the plants themselves were withering. I utilised an Am@zon brown paper delivery bag and put them in a cupboard. They’re ripening nicely. Last year I ripened them in a brown box with an apple and that worked well too.Tonight’s dinner is chilli and mango fish skewers with salad and flatbread. I bought the fish skewers ages ago from Mr T so using up freezer stocks.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
Your conversations with Mr SA are hilarious.
Fish skewers sound good
