Morning all, happy July 😎
WFH today. Was up at 5 so enjoyed my coffee and book outside, listening to the birds singing, the rumble of planes taking off followed by seeing a plane pass over my house then the delightful sounds of cats fighting. The young cat appeared shortly afterwards so no doubt she'd had yet another altercation.
Mr M delivery arrived and has all been put away. There are rarely subs or missing items but if there are it's usually Mr SA's beer and guess what - they'd subbed it for a brand he doesn't like so I sent it back. He's got a bit of a stock so will be fine without this week.
DD went back to work yesterday so I'll finally be able to get back to my cleaning routine.
Payday shuffle done a day late but nothing really happens until the first of the month anyway.
CC balance cleared. Another £150 overpayment gone to the mortgage - balance is now under £2k. Regular savers all fed with maximum amounts. Oddment of £7.26 sent to the Christmas pot.
As it's the start of a new month I really must reintroduce aims for the month then look back at what I've achieved at the end of the month. I used to do this all the time and seem to have got out of the habit.
Today's exercise plan is dog walking later this morning before it gets too hot, a lunchtime walk, short abs workout and resistance bands tonight.
I've got a new recipe to try tonight, can't remember its exact title but it involves linguine and courgette.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
You have my sympathies on the cat fighting - I was working when the dog started barking (a. he doesn't bark and b. he's usually at the back but I'm keeping him in my office/the hall to keep an eye on him post-neuter), stripy cat then belted upstairs with a fluffy tail. She was under my bed, covered in burrs and wasn't happy when I tried to remove them. So we've been to the vet - soft tissue injury and anti-inflammatories, keep an eye out for an abcess and keep her in (easier said than done, particularly in this weather - but with two out of three having to stay indoors the other cat and I will have to just put up with closed doors). And because the dog can't be left on his own until he's signed off, he came too...
I need to fit in a shower and get changed properly for work at some point!3 -
Getting up early before the world (and Mr SA
) have woken is lovely. Glad you had such a nice start to your day...
I will be having courgettes today I think...not sure what with...
Enjoy your day

The garden waste bin has been emptied 😁 I was starting to get worried as they didn't appear until after lunchtime. It's the first time ever that the garden bin has been missed so hopefully it won't happen again.
The young cat isn't injured thankfully. I think it was more of a stand off than an actual fight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Morning all, halfway through the week already.
WFH again today. Sat outside with my book and a coffee again although it's much cooler and cloudy today. I moved the outdoor coffee table so I could put my cup down which seemed to alarm the cats and they kept jumping up and back down off it.
I've just finished my live morning yoga class so nice and chilled now - see how long that lasts for. Exercise for the rest of the day will be dog walking later this morning, 10 minutes standing abs and Zumba at 6.
Tonight's dinner is tofu stir fry using up freezer/fridge/cupboard stocks.
Mr SA had a call from the GP surgery last night to say the results of his last test are back and the GP would like to speak to him. This was the test for Crohns, Coeliac and Diverticulitis. He's opted for a phone call rather than going to the surgery. He is off to a clinic this morning for blood tests for various things. On top of all that can you believe his routine bowel screening kit has arrived - he has just had a negative test come back from the extra one the GP ordered so shows systems don't talk to each other! He still has the GP appointment face to face in a couple of weeks to discuss findings of all the tests so I'm surprised they want to speak to him about the last test so soon unless something has come up.
Money wise I cashed out £20.46 from PA last night. I have also earned the princely sum of £1.40 from the Am@zon Shopper Panel. Not doing very well with surveys at the moment although have done quite a few YG and Opinium ones, nowhere near cashing out of those yet.
It should be NSD 1 of July today.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
That's a good cashout to start the month. My Op*n**m is also way off cashing out yet. Also Y!*ve seem rubbish lately. Whenever one does come up, I get half way through & suddenly get told I'm not suitable.
Mind you, TBH, we don't want to earn too much or we'll have to pay tax.
Hope Mr SA's phone call is ok.
My DH had his yearly IBD phone call yesterday & they say he now has to have colonoscopy every 3 years instead of every 10. He wasn't impressed.

Well I still haven’t met my Scottish team mate in real life 😞 Her train was horrendously delayed turning what was originally a just under 5 hours journey into an 8 hours one. I’ll definitely see her tomorrow though albeit briefly before she makes her way back.Popped in for a drink at a work retirement do, just stayed for an hour as it was very noisy and I got fed up of shouting to make myself heard then a singer appeared with a guitar so it was even noisier, although it was so noisy you couldn’t really hear the singer. The do was continuing at a different venue for the rest of the day/night with food but as much as I would’ve liked to have gone I couldn’t because of Mr blooming SA 😐Worked in the office today, it was extra busy because of people coming in for the retirement do. It was lovely to catch up with people I don’t usually see but for me the hazard of being in the office when it’s busy is that I spend a lot of time talking 😬 I’m definitely more productive at home.Exercise has been walking to/from work.Tonight’s dinner is jacket potato with a portion of veg chilli from freezer stocks and salad.Another NSD as it was a free bar at the do. Passed Lid! but didn’t go in - I have a big list for tomorrow though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7
