That's Monday almost done.
Worked in the office until early afternoon, finishing up at home.
New 4 week budget period started today. Usual Monday finance check done and an oddment of £6.77 sent to the Christmas pot.
Free coffee picked up and enjoyed this morning.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home. Spent less than £10 so not hit the first reward milestone yet.
It's the park volunteers group meeting tonight, not made my mind up about going yet, I could do without it to be honest.
Need to finalise tomorrow's Mr M order.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and I'm going to do a yoga session later. I realised yesterday just how much these regular short yoga sessions are helping with my flexibility so want to keep going with them.
Tonight's dinner is leftover aubergine curry from yesterday.
Mr SA has been haunting the charity shop again, today's purchase is a pair of water shoes for £3. He's had a pair of these before and declared them dangerous. He's planning to wear them around the house as slippers - accident waiting to happen in my opinion 😬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -
You achieve so much every day. I don't know how you manage it.2

Morning all, happy Tuesday.
WFH today. Mr M delivery arrived at 6.30 so all packed away. I took a chance on another big sack of potatoes and pleased with this one. The first one was brilliant but the last one was full of the biggest potatoes I'd ever seen - they were enormous! Anyway this one is mixed sizes so I'm happy.
Forgot to say yesterday I cashed out surveys, not done that well this month but I'm very close to cashing out on YG and Opinium and did a lot of surveys for them so hoping I can cash those out at the end of this month. £29.57 from PA, £4 from Eureka and £2.85 from Amazon shopper panel.
I didn't go to the park volunteers meeting last night. I'm glad I didn't as the one topic I was interested in didn't go the way I hoped it would according to the What's App chat so that would've wound me up.
Today's exercise plan is dog walking later this morning, Power Punch at lunchtime, resistance bands and yoga tonight.
I plan to restart the short gardening task a day (weather permitting) that I did last year and today's task is to plant some seeds in the heater propagator as I didn't get round to it on Sunday.
The pond water has started to clear now, not helped by Mr SA opening a bag of barley straw and throwing it in so there was straw floating everywhere! Reminded him it has to go in a net first! That man is a liability and just creates more work for me! I wish he'd do something to help rather than just haunt the local shops looking for things to buy.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Happy hump day.
Worked in the office this morning and WFH this afternoon.
Mid week budget check done, an oddment of £6.40 has been sent to the Christmas pot.
Am@zon have Sheba cat food on offer £13.78 for 40 pouches so have ordered 2 boxes. Used the £2.85 credit I had in my account for the Shopper Panel surveys so that got the cost down a bit further.
Bought a couple of mesh laundry bags from the pound shop that are ideal to put the barley straw in so Mr SA has been set a task to fill them this afternoon. Also stopped off a Lid! on the way home and took advantage of the 30% off fruit offer. Now hit the target for a free sweet bakery item - so Mr SA will be happy with that.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and Zumba at 6pm. Might try and squeeze another short yoga session in if I get time.
Housework tasks are ironing and cleaning the bathroom. Garden task is weeding in the drive. I managed to get some seeds planted yesterday and even remembered to label them this year! Some are in the heated propagator and some only required an unheated greenhouse so some in there. I need to buy a new cover for the mini greenhouse as Mr SA ripped it.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of lasagne from freezer stocks with salad. I'm down to the last half a drawer of items in the small freezer so hoping to squeeze the contents into the main freezer at the weekend so I can finally defrost it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
Thanks for mentioning the fruit offer - pineapple, mango, black grapes and pomegranates in our store but I'd not checked the app so I might have missed it but for you.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy Friday eve.
WFH today and my last working day of the week - woo hoo 😁
Mr SA was grumbling last night about my day off tomorrow to meet friends for lunch as I'm also meeting another friend on Monday for a drink. He thinks it's not fair. My response was so it's alright for me to work full time, do all the cooking, housework and gardening, deal with finances etc plus clean up after him while he does absolutely nothing but anything nice I do for myself is unfair! Really? 😠 This is what I'm dreading when I retire in 2 years, I don't want to spend my days stuck in the house with him.
Talking about retirement, I've had a letter from a previous employer's pension scheme saying I'm retiring this August 🤣 Obviously my pension age has gone up since then. I need to phone them to tell them to hold off for a couple of years. It's only going to be a small amount per month, about £100 I think, but it all adds up.
I'm thinking about combining this morning's dog walk/early lunch break with a trip to Lid! as they have a gardening event on and there are a few things I need. They also have some good discounts on things I regularly buy this week. I could nip in on the way home from my lunch tomorrow but it will be nice not to have to and as my bag might be heavy I could do with Mr SA and the scooter being there.
Today's exercise is dog walking, yoga and Zumba tonight.
Trying a new recipe from the Waitr0se paper for tonight's dinner chickpea & aubergine one pot bake.
