Not a good end to your working week but it sounds as though those who know you will see it's not real, and the troublesome person, as you say, could well be unstable and not making good judgements.
What a lovely lot of gifts from WW! Do you have some wrapping paper to make a cover for the new recipe book? So you can cook in peace.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I even ban my friends from having eggs when we do lunch. I honestly can’t bear to look at or smell them 🤮I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
My boss can’t bear cold cooked egg - if I have an egg mayo roll for lunch I warn him first so he can go out to get his lunch while I eat it! 😂
Sounds to me like you need to be careful around the person at work in more ways than one. I assume you’ll not be considering them a friend in the same way any time soon? It’s a shame some folk feel the need to be snide like that.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Have a good day.
135g red lentils soaked in lots of water for at least 1 hour
Drain and add 120ml fresh water
Add half tsp salt and half tsp baking powder
Add seasoning and herbs of your choice
Blitz until pancake batter consistency
Line a baking tray with paper and pour in, spread out
Bake for 30-35 mins 190c/375f/gas 6
Apparently it comes out rock hard but softens as it cools. It was on a virtual Cookalong I attended and it looked really nice.3 -
