PennysIntoPounds said:I think you've previously mentioned about not being able to have a single spare bed in the spare room because there's gym equipment cluttering it up? If it's not being used could you possibly sell or donate it then put a wee bed in there with a blackout blind for Mr SA to have his Super Exciting Man Room for when he wants to watch TV late or research pesters 'in private'?
Or failing that, clear it out discreetly and put charity shop bags in there instead...The living room is more or less his man space because I’m hardly in there.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -

How exasperating about Mr SA. Just when you thought those bags were going... I'm not sure how things went with the spending money but might there be some way of 'reimbursing' him for donating? Even if it's a pound or so per item - tell him it's a way of making space for the things he can then buy on holiday, perhaps? So if he gets rid of five items, it's a tenner of spending money for him, and space at home for both of you. Meanwhile, it's sounding as though charity bags need somehow to 'disappear' as soon as they are filled, or sooner.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -
Out of sight out of mind would seem to be the way to go. At least it may stop you drowning in stuff. I sometimes think about how nice it would be to have a larger house & then realise I would just have kept even more stuff & we are already drowning in stuff, but getting there very slowly.

Happy Saturday 🥂
Lost half a pound this week, happy with that as I now only have 2.5lbs to lose before holiday.Got up early and went to the big Mr T with the soft plastic recycling first thing. Got back home just in time for my ClubFit class. After that took the dog on the park. So that ticked off 15,000 steps before lunchtime. The weather has been rain, hail, wind, sun and rainbows, not necessarily in that order. It’s blooming cold in the wind though 🥶
Have given in and had to order my peanut butter powder from Am@zon as I can’t find it in the shops, not even H&B. I do use it a lot so have ordered a decent sized one as it worked out cheaper. It’s so annoying when you can’t find what you want in the shops, then they wonder why people shop online!Talking of which, tonight’s dinner is new recipe alert - chilli & peanut tofu burger with butternut squash wedges. Another recipe from the old WW cookbook I rediscovered last weekend.DS and the GKs visited this afternoon and DGD spent the whole of the time gaming with DD, I only saw her when she left. Seems like DGS is taking after me and wants a set of weights like mine for his 8th birthday 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Well the tofu burger was a success and the first time I’ve made a veggie burger that’s not fallen apart because I didn’t bind it with egg. For the avoidance of doubt Mr SA had a beef burger and potato wedges, there’s absolutely no way he would try tofu or butternut squash 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Happy Sunday and what a beautiful sunny day ☀️
Have spent most of the day tidying the garden. The lawns had their first cut of the year and they look so much better for it. Also gave the greenhouse a good clean and tidy. Moved one of the raised planters from the bottom of the garden to the patio outside the kitchen and planted up the herbs I bought a few weeks ago. Also emptied the laundry basket and got loads dry on the line. Even managed to sit outside in the sun reading my book in between jobs.Meanwhile Mr SA has put the canvas shoes he got out of his suitcase the other day back in the case. Also his other canvas shoes he was going to put in the bin are back in favour. He’s had a busy day 😐
Exercise has been taking the dog on the park this morning and gardening.
Tonight’s dinner is a portion of vegan cottage pie from the freezer with steamed veg.Money wise it’s been NSD 8 of March.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
