  • Reminds me of my mum with her brain tumour. The care home would call the GP as she had symptoms or complained of being unwell and when he arrived and asked how she was, she would say she was fine.

Just a thought, but you've said how good the consultant team are - can you go to them with your concerns about the falls etc and needing more help? After all, the condition is what is causing the falls, and you *might* even be concerned that the increased number of falls could indicate further issues? They are probably in a far better position to get the message across to the urgent care team than you are, though.
We've already done this they just say it's the brain damage not the condition that causes the falls and there's not a lot can be done. However if he starting displaying symptoms of the tumour again this is where they'd come in. Since Covid the yearly appointment with the consultant is now a phone call, although this is better in some ways as we could often be sitting for over an hour in a waiting room if they were running late, then there would be taxi fares to fork out.

  • Definitely explain to them that he will underplay things if they speak with him as well - that needs to be put on file by the sound of it!
