Yay! for a good night's sleep! I hope Mr SA has a good day today - though I agree that's a lot of bread! Wow! Probably a minimum of 700kcals... they say you can't literally be addicted to food (as in, food is all sorts of different things) but the habit is powerful, and I'm sure he'd notice if you tried to reduce breakfast to three and half slices of toast.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr SA's falls - I'm not surprised you have wobbles now and again. I can't give any helpful advice Im afraid as I've never worked in the health service or had to deal with falls within my family, but some wonderful replies from the other posters. 😇
I'm pleased to read you got some decent sleep last night and hope Mr SA is a lot better today. As @Cherryfudge writes, that's a lot of bread! 😳Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

@beanielou, some years ago when I broke an arm, it was hard to get out of bed safely and I think it was the OT who arranged loan of a temporary bed rail. It had a part that slid under the mattress to secure it, then was just a rail for my useable arm to grab, but also would have slowed me down had I been likely to fall out of bed. That was a freebie in my area and when I'd finished, they collected it. Mega useful at the time.
I know your needs may differ but good for you for investigating what might be available. I hope you get a good result, and soon.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

SA, I think you need to put a very tearful call into the Carers centre/Social Services/whoever saying you can't lift Mr SA. You need to give an Oscar-worthy performance. No-one listens otherwise.
On the toast front - me and Mr Satch take a couple of slices of bread out of the freezer whenever we want toast. The bread mostly separates quite easily when frozen (occasionally it splits, which is annoying). That could ease the necessity to buy bread mid-week?
Hugs for you, I'm always in awe at how much you do.What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1 -

I could quite happily have toast for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and a toastie or rolls for tea. I’m with Mr SA on the bread scene.x

My line manager is fine with me WFH while Mr SA isn't so good. I am hoping to go in the office on Friday though as DD will be off work and I really need a change of scenery.
I mentioned to him about getting him referred back to Adult Social Care and he said he didn't want to start all that lot off again. I reminded him it's me who has all the stress of his falls and it's me who has to clean up after him and try and get him back up! I've tried to convince him they will be able to suggest the right equipment to help him and possibly supply it. He went to bed at 1pm and is still there! He's still alive I've checked 😆
No room in my freezer for a loaf @satchmo1 although it's a good idea if you don't use as much bread as he does, he can polish off a whole loaf in a couple of days.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
