Scary stuff SA - and for you too Humdinger. Hopefully it is just regular post Christmas tiredness with MrSA at least.

Just about the only reality TV type things we watch here are Bake off and the Pottery Throw Down both of which we really enjoy - neither of us re fans of the more traditional talent show style things though. Each to their own, eh!

Bit late updating, I don’t know where time has gone to today.

Nothing exciting to report. Money wise it’s been a NSD and we’ve won a lucky dip on the Lotto.

Made a batch of butterbean, leek and kale soup for work lunches and a veggie lasagne for tonight’s dinner with a couple of portions left to go in the freezer. Did a meal plan for the coming week based on freezer/cupboard stocks.

Took the dog for a run on the park this morning. The weather has been sunny but very cold again.

Usual cleaning, washing, ironing and generally getting things done before it’s back to work tomorrow.

Spoke too soon about it being non eventful here. Mr SA has had another fall and it’s taken DD and I ages to get him upstairs and upright again. Always seems to happen on a Sunday night 😞

Oh dear, that's unfortunate, I hope everyone's okay?

I may have mentioned inflatable lifting cushions before. Apologies if I have. They slowly inflate under the person to get them to a standing position, and some can be used by one person and in a small space. They're expensive but might save your back as well as time and stress. You do have to charge them up but the ones that come in four layers are very strong and much more stable than I'd have thought.

Was just about to suggest one of these cushions.  Our OT can organise them if needed

Thanks everyone for all your kindness and suggestions.   Feeling much better after a fab weekend.  DD has been talking about how to build her physical and mental resilience for her return in Sep.  She knows it's about balancing social time (with people she likes, not just the ones who happen to be there) and time alone.  Yoga and exercise are also very positive ideas she's come up with.  Hope you're OK @Sun_Addict; as ever, I'm in awe love Humdinger xx

Thank you all. I’ve had a quick look at those cushions maybe something to investigate further although they are very expensive. He can get himself up if he can shuffle to the stairs, get on the bottom one and pull himself up with the handrails. He got up to go to bed and just toppled over.  He’s tall and heavy so he goes with a thud, plus he has no strength in his arms and legs so he’s a dead weight.

I didn’t wake until 6am, thankfully I can WFH today, I can’t leave him on his own, DD is working. I also need to make sure the living room floor and rug are cleaned thoroughly where he fell as he loses control of himself when he falls.

    He’s hard work that’s for sure 😞
