Luckily our bin day is a Thursday, so hasn't changed this year. Its the black bin this week, but TBH we hardly ever have much in it, don't remember the last time it was more than half full.

The weather here is so dreary it can't even be bothered raining.

SA, do you have a Co-Op nearby? It's worth getting their loyalty card, as you get 20p off a loaf and their wholemeal bread has less ingredients than most others.
You also get a choice of two weekly offers, for example this week I'm opting for 20p off milk. I think the offers are based on your shopping history, so mine usually include milk, bread, wine and sweets (naughty). What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Our bin day is Thursday this week instead of Tuesday. I am not looking forward to the rubbish collection that will be outside the back gate where everybody's rubbish from their recycling boxes will collect. I anchor ours with the food waste bin unfortunately most people don't and the boxes are open.0

Morning all, what a wild and stormy night! Fingers crossed the garden is still in one piece. Mr SA said it was lightning at one stage but I wonder if that was just the neighbours flashing fairy lights. Not the best forecast again today so I expect it will be another day of trying to get out with the dog between showers.I have a Mr M delivery coming this afternoon. I forgot to put an order through in advance so could only get a slot later in the day. It’s only a small order as we still have a fair bit in to use up.At some stage today I need to put on the bathroom sealer tape. There’s only a very small window of opportunity between DD getting ready for work and Mr SA’s frequent trips to the loo to get anything done in there so I’ll need to get the timing right.Today’s exercise will be dog walking and Zumba later. Tonight’s dinner is tofu and mushroom stir fry with sesame noodles.Going a bit stir crazy stuck in the house with Mr SA but I don’t have anywhere to go and the weather is dreadful so will have to just make the most of not being at work. There’s plenty to be getting on with indoors to be honest.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

That must be really difficult to manage being cooped up especially when you're normally so active. Enjoy your remaining time off xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
The sun came out so we took the dog for a walk to the big Mr T with the soft plastic recycling then called in at the park on the way home. Then I dropped off the aluminium coffee pods recycling at a local shop.
Just got back in time as it’s pouring down again now. At least the dog and I have got some steps in.Waiting for Mr SA to go for his siesta so I can give the living room a good clean.Living the dream 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
I think it must be recycling day: soft plastics and paper are nearly full here and I'm just going through the medicine cupboard to see what's out of date so there's a bag being filled for the chemist. Batteries and spent biros are also gathering in their place but whether we get to the recycling points or not depends on weather and energy.
I think I will add checking smoke detector and CO detector batteries and date on fire extinguisher while I'm at it.
Yup, the excitement is intense.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Forgot to add something I saw on FB that made me laugh. Someone had posted on an extreme bargains group about a coat they’d found in MnS reduced to £28. Someone had commented did they actually need it or just bought it because it was reduced. Someone else commented on that comment saying “who do you think you are, Martin Lewis” 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
