    Morning all, happy Sunday.

Woke up to a winter wonderland this morning we’ve had lots of snow ⛄️ The young cat has never seen it before it was so funny watching her playing with it and trying to eat it 🤣 She was going mad leaping around.

Still feeling rough and now developing a cough 🙁

Really need to do some cleaning today especially the bathroom (thank you Mr SA!!)

Not sure if we’ll get out today because of Mr SA’s scooter, the snow is quite deep. It’s forecast rain later so it may clear the snow. Can’t go far if we do get out as we live at the top of a hill and the only way out is downhill both ways. Should be a NSD anyway the first one of December.

Same here, @Sun_Addict. Have postponed our shopping morning in Lincoln. So far have just crunched out a few metres to put some porridge oats out for hungry birds.

  • Finally found and caught up on your diary Sun_Addict, blimey woman you don't have get a lot done (and put up with a lot!).

Hope you feel better soon, I read ages ago in New Scientist that zinc is the only thing proven to have any effect on lessening the impact/helping the recovery of colds. Sainsers and I'm sure other places do vitamin C and zinc fizzy tablets, you could have them as a cocktail with prosecco 😁

Did you end up doing anything in the pot the buxus was stolen from?
Buxus in London gets destroyed every summer by the box caterpillar which is apparently slowly but surely spreading it's way across the country so whoever nicked yours/bought a nicked one will be getting their karma soon!
  • As I get older I wear less and less makeup. For work it’s usually a CC cream, a bit of bronzer, eye liner, mascara and lipstick. I always wear an eyelash primer under my mascara as it makes my eyelashes very long, have been asked if they’re false several times 😆 I have green eyes so supposed to wear purple eyeshadow to make them pop but can’t see a difference to be honest. As long as I look vaguely alive when I leave the house I’m fine with that 🤣

The Christmas decorations are more or less done. Still need to buy a tree topper as the ones I’ve got are too heavy for the smaller tree. Still really pleased with the new tree will post a photo when it’s finished.

Only spent £1.40 on a paper today so a very low spend day.

Popped in the charity shop I donated all the things to last Sunday and was pleased to see several of my donations out on sale 🙂

There has been an ambulance and paramedic car outside the house across the road from me for some time. The residents are elderly, I hope they’re ok 🙏
Just popping in to ask what eyelash primer you use? Thanks, I love your diary.

Oh hi there @PennysIntoPounds 👋 Don’t expect any excitement or money saving tips on here 😆 The Buxus was artificial 🤣

The snow is disappearing as it’s warmed up. Will see what’s what in the morning re going into the office. Have a couple of cards to play re justifying WFH - full of cold and the snow if it’s still here. We are on a three line whip to attend the office 3 days a week and they’ve installed something on our laptops that records where you’ve logged in. This is for all civil servants not just my department. I was going in 3 times a week anyway so no change for me but I now have to explain myself if I don’t on the odd day. Honestly retirement can’t come soon enough.

Not been out today just in the garden to feed the birds and walk around with the dog. She usually asks to go out but has shown no interest today.

Re the elderly neighbours and ambulance last night - I’ve seen the bloke but not the woman. He usually goes out for a paper at 6.30 on the dot every morning, you can set your watch by him, but this morning it was nearer 9am. Hope his wife is ok 🙏 They were retired when we moved in 30 odd years ago so must be in their 90s by now.

Made a new soup recipe for work lunches from the BBC GF app chilli bean it’s delicious. Plus lentil stew in the slow cooker for tonight’s dinner. Made a chickpea curry from the BBC GF app last night which was gorgeous. I think I’ll renew this app when the 6 months trial is up, I really like it.

  • HALF get a lot done, not 'have' in my last post! Damn my autocorrect being significantly less cockney than me 😁

That is funny and annoying about the buxus! Well I bet it, erm, rusts anyway due to their thievey bad vibes

Hope the woman neighbour is okay.

The civil service new thing of having to go in three days a week minimum is ridiculous, especially when people I know say there's not enough desk space for everyone to be in! Wonder which ministers have the friends who own the buildings and can therefore justify the invoices if they're being used 🤔
