This is the rose that suddenly appeared at the back of the garden a couple of years ago and is gradually taking over. No idea where it came from as there’s only a church next door and there’s nothing at the back of us. It smells gorgeous. It’s hot as hell up here as this part of the garden is really high up.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Here is another rampant plant, a geranium bought a few years ago to cover the quite shady area round the pond where nothing grows. I bought it for ground cover. Re applying for the promotion, if you feel you have enough on your plate already, that seems to me an excellent reason to stay put (preferably in a comfy chair in the garden).I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
