Do your pets share your pillow SA? One of mine moves onto the top of my head the minute the lamp get switched off and he’s a real chonk. It can easily crick my neck as he sinks heavily down. Luckily I use two pillows so I can drag one lower down if he’s being a pain 🙄

My ninja dual drawer one doesn’t preheat, but the grill one does. I wing everything! If what I’m making has cooking instructions I usually airfry a bit lower temp than it says on the pack and a bit shorter time. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

You were up early today! I know you're always early, but I woke up about 4.20 then fell asleep for the other half of my sleep. Hope you had enough rest.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

That's Monday done.
Have been in the office today and managed not to be emergency evacuated 😆
Got a couple of bargains from a new discount shop opened up near the office - Jamie Oliver's One cookbook for £3 and India Express cookbook by Rukmini Iyer for £2. They're brand new but just very slightly damaged. Some good stuff in this shop so will keep popping in. Picked up my free loaf from L*dl on the way home plus yet more bread rolls for Mr SA.
Every 6 months my Mr M delivery pass renews and every single blooming time does my card decline the payment for some obscure reason. I phoned Mr M customer services and got them to change it to an annual pass which is slightly cheaper and will at least save me from phoning them to sort it out every 6 months!
Exercise today is walking to/from work, a stretching session later plus an abs session. Tonight's dinner is an old favourite harissa prawn orzo.
Monday finance check done.
Mr SA had a fall in the garden this morning but managed to get himself up eventually.
I'm in two minds what to do about Mr SA's scooter booking for Zante as it's very expensive at €150 for the week and I'm wondering if it will be a lot cheaper to just get a taxi when we go out at night as the town is only 10 minutes walk away. We could take his wheelchair as I'll easily be able to wheel him the short distance to the beach, plus he could sit in his wheelchair on the beach instead of the ordeal of several people hoisting him off a sunbed. As it's so hot in August we don't really go out and about walking like we do in Lanzarote so the scooter would only be needed at night and to go to the beach, not sure it's really worth €150 just for that. Certainly worth thinking about anyway as it can easily be cancelled at this stage.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
Bargain on the cook books. I love Jamie's recipes. Love a good browse in a discount store as well, especially if its an independent one and not £L*nd
Sounds like a good plan to cancel the scooter for Mr SA TBH, Hope he didn't hurt himself when he fellMaking the debt go down and savings go up

If we took the wheelchair instead we could also use it at the airport. Not a problem in the UK because wheelchairs are plentiful. Often a different story the other end though, waited ages for one in Lanzarote. I just don’t think it’s worth €150, only €98 in Lanzarote and it was well worth it as we covered a few miles. I can’t imagine a taxi would be much from the hotel to the restaurants, probably €5 at the most. Times that there and back for 7 nights €70 approx. Still considering buying a travel scooter for him but don’t have the funds available at the moment, waiting for the regular savers to mature. He didn’t hurt himself when he fell thankfully.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Sorry about the fall but glad he's OK.
Sounds like you've done your numbers and it would be better to cancel. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
