Happy Friday and it’s payday 🥳
Worked in the office until 11 then had a long lunch break to get a few bits done in town then met Mr SA outside Lid! WFH this afternoon.
Mr SA had an accident on his scooter this morning and it ended up on its side in our driveway. Fortunately some builders working nearby spotted him and came to the rescue. He’s already scraped the bumper on this new scooter but it appears unscathed from this episode. The drainpipe hasn’t fared so well though. He’s ok but shaken.
Payday shuffle has been done and money sent to various pots. CC balance cleared and a couple of oddments sent to the Christmas pot. Regular savers will be topped up on Monday.
Today’s exercise has been walking to/from work plus strength training and yoga later.
Tonight’s dinner is lightly dusted yellowfin sole with steamed vegetables.Looking forward to a nice soak in the bath later followed by putting my feet up with a glass or two of 🍷

Sorry to hear about Mr SA's scooter accident. Hope he came out of it unscathed. Good of those builders to assist.

Thank you @clyndu I’ve ordered that radio and picking it up next week. He’ll be very happy with it. He’s not getting it until Christmas though 😆
On the bottled water front, there was plenty back in stock in Lid! today. I only picked up one bottle to add to stocks. Still not happy about having to buy water just in case 😡@Dakota_Rose there are plenty of camping stoves on @m@zon at reasonable prices. I almost picked one up from B0yes today for £22.99 but prefer to get one with gas canisters included. I don’t want to pay a lot for something I may never use (hopefully) but it would give me peace of mind. I need to bear in mind it would be me outside in the cold heating up a pan of water while Mr SA is sitting with his feet up waiting for his coffee 😐 What would he do about his toast 🤣

You can make toast on a little camping stove. When we decided to start camping about 15 yrs ago, Mr F wasn't at all sure I'd enjoy it. He'd camped quite a lot before we got together - at festivals, etc, & he asked me what sort of things would be a 'deal breaker' re holidaying in a tent. I said 'Toast'. He bought a little inexpensive metal thing which goes on top of the camping stove ring & you stand slices of bread on it to toast them. We no longer go camping but I insisted on keeping the toast making contraption in case of power outages!

Morning all, happy Saturday and happy Halloween 🎃
I’ve already been up for an hour, Mr SA is asleep, DD has gone to work, the cats have been fed and the dog is asleep next to me on the sofa. So a relaxing start to the day.
It’s DS’s 1st wedding anniversary today, that year has flown by!
I need to go to the big Mr T today as we are running short of loo rolls and they sell my preferred 🐥 brand.
This weekend will consist mainly of garden tidying and cleaning. I’ve made a start on my next decluttering project which is the bedroom. I’ve only done one drawer so far so I’d like to crack on with that.Only a few more weeks and I’ll have 4 days a week to get everything done. That will be brilliant.
I need to make up the treats pots for any trick or treaters. I’ve made a sign for the door saying no treats after 6.30 as we’ll be watching Strictly Halloween special. Mr SA is going to lock the drive gates so no one will be able to get to the door anyway.
I also plan to watch Hocus Pocus after lunch. Finally!
Another job is to put together the new bread bin as it’s flat packed. I’m pretty good at putting things together so it should be fine🤞Tonight’s dinner is veggie burger, wedges and salad. Prosecco will be going in the fridge soon so it’s nice and chilled for Strictly.
Got loads of washing to peg out. Trying to keep the laundry basket clear as much as I can.Today’s exercise will be walking to/from Mr T, litter picking on the park with the dog and a yoga session.
Have a great Saturday everyone 🥂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪5 -
