Hope carpet fitting went smoothly and works well for any Mr SA accidents

The carpet and hall floor was finished around 2. Both look great. Mr SA was starving as he usually has his lunch at 12 on the dot.
I really hope there are no accidents on this carpet although expect it’s just a matter of time. If I spot a telltale damp spot I’ll have to get the stain buster machine out. The carpet is meant to be stain proof and guaranteed so for 10 years but I bet that doesn’t include the sort of stains it’s likely to get from our household.
Just waiting for the carpet shop bloke to send me bank transfer info. He’s been round to check the fitters work.
Mr SA managed to cadge a can of spray glue from the fitter - he always does this when we have any sort of flooring fitted. He was admiring the fitter’s tiny portable radio, it was no bigger than a mobile phone and had great sound.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪5 -
Morning all, happy Friday eve.
WFH today. I fell back to sleep after the alarm went off at 4.30 as I don't need to get up that early on WFH days. However the dog woke me up at 5.30 wanting to go out. I had to get up quickly in case she jumped down and did something on the new carpet. She did me a favour really as I needed to get up no later than 5.30 so I could have my nice relaxing start to the day. Later I discovered she'd been sick on the duvet cover so that has had to come off and put in the washer 😐
Mr SA has done nothing but go on about that portable radio and how it only cost the fitter £10 from @rgos. Apparently it would be ideal for his scooter. He already has a portable solar powered/wind up radio that DS bought him for Christmas a few years ago.
It's really misty here this morning but the sun is starting to break through. I've pegged a line of washing out but doubt it will dry much as the air feels damp. Time to get out the heated airer and dehumidifier I think. We do have a tumble dryer (combined with the washing machine) but I only use it in emergencies or during the free electricity hour.
Money wise just waiting for payday tomorrow. Planned purchases of the bread bin and power bank were ordered a couple of days ago and they're arriving today. Seriously considering buying a little camping stove to put away just in case…
The dishwasher purchase is imminent. I was going to replace it earlier in the year but it started behaving itself so thought I'd wait, despite having the money saved and it being quite rusty. It's started playing up again so really needs replacing but I'm trying to hold out for a Black Friday deal. I will get it one day 😆 I also want to replace the fridge freezer but no good doing that until I've got down stocks sufficiently to move everything temporarily into the little freezer.
Today's exercise has been a new Get Fit with Rick Tai Chi Sunrise 15 minutes workout which I really enjoyed. It was lovely and chilled out. Taking the dog out in a bit then it's strength training at lunchtime and Zumba tonight. I've joined a Sarah Beth Yoga November yoga challenge where she sends you a daily session for 3 weeks. I've done her challenges before and enjoyed them. Looking forward to starting Rick's Christmas challenge in December, I do this every year.
Tonight's dinner will be a portion of veg chilli from freezer stocks with a jacket potato and salad.

When I read he liked the radio, I did wonder if it would be his next pester.
Hoping the carpet manages to stay stain free for as long as possible.

Well at least this pester is for a useful item. But if he already has one, it does seem a waste

It wouldn't be ideal for his scooter at all because he shouldn't be wearing earbuds while using the scooter, and certainly shouldn't be one of those antisocial people who play their music out loud in the street! 😉

He's not mentioned the radio this afternoon as his attention has turned to another 'must have' which is a Lambretta sticker for his scooter. In fact he very annoyingly came into my home office while I was on a call taking minutes of a meeting to show me the sticker on his phone. He evidently thought his sticker was far more important than my work!
@EssexHebridean he has been known to take the wind up radio on the park! Thankfully he hates loud music so I don't think he'd disturb anyone. If anything I think he'd be more likely to use it when he's sitting in the greenhouse. He doesn't actually do anything in the greenhouse by the way, just sits and stares into space with the radio on. It could possibly be an idea for a Christmas present for him.
@greenbee yes I've had an email from them too. I couldn't see the one I'm thinking about in the offers, which is typical. Worth keeping an eye on though.

I’ve got a camping stove on my to-buy list too, which is frustrating as I sold our old one at a boot sale only last year 🙈. I am more than a little annoyed, but unsurprised, to find they’re out of stock in many places and triple the usual price in others.

At least Mr SA's pesters seem to be at the cheaper end of the scale so you can give in and make him happy without it costing the earth. Good little Christmas gifts the last two. I bet Mr SA would enjoy a Christmas stocking with lots of small items or 'tat' even. My sons are in their 20's now but still love their stockings more than main presents, although admittedly I do put quite a few nice things in them.
Great news about your hours. I've worked roughly those hours since going part time with children decades ago and its been a good compromise, enough to be fully engaged and not be sidelined in any way plus a salary that's decent, but plenty of time for other responsibilities and home life, and the odd bit of fun. My favourite days were Tues, Wed, Thurs although I did agree to work Fridays for a while as those are everyone's favourite odd days off.
