Finances checked, cc balance cleared, all regular savers topped up and an oddment of £6.38 sent to the Christmas pot. It’s the final week of the 4 week budget period so going to try and make it a light spends one.

That’s a great discount… I’m not sure on their new sp@rks rewards, preferred the old system.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday ☺️

My alarm goes off at 4.30am weekdays so it's a time of the day I'm very familiar with 😆

Afternoon all.
Back to work today and back in the office until late morning, WFH this afternoon. Currently ploughing my way through emails, tasks, questions via Teams, leave approval requests, etc.
Messaged the painter as he's due to start work on Monday and I haven't got a clue how much paint to buy. He's popping round on Wednesday to have a look. To be honest I've not even given much thought to colours for the kitchen and hall/stairs/landing. I fancy a change from the usual safe cream colour I tend to go with when I can't make my mind up.
Mr SA's scooter has gone back to the seaside for repair at the main shop. They're going to bring him a courtesy scooter.
Have bought a jacket and two jumpers from MnS using the Sp@rks vouchers which had to be used by today. The jacket is the one I really liked but a different colour and I managed to get it down to £31 from £55 with 20% off then a £8 voucher plus another £5 voucher. I spotted the jumpers when I was in the store earlier and really liked them. I could do with a couple of new jumpers for Autumn/Winter and today was the last day to use the £6 offer. I've plenty in my personal spends pot to cover.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home from work. Picked up a free sweet bakery treat for Mr SA courtesy of last week's voucher from🐙Pleased to see they have own brand smoked tofu back in stock after it being missing in action for a few weeks.
Quick Monday check of finances done, but nothing has changed since yesterday's check.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's strength training and yoga tonight.
Tonight's dinner is stir fry.

Happy Monday Mrs SA.
I've noticed you tend to mention surveys etc in your posts. Is there a recomend surveyer you use. I'm about to embark on my financial journey to get debt free, and every little help so if I could possibly use surveys to boost the income that would be handy!
Thanks and hope you don't mind the ask.

I use Prolific Academic, You Gov and Opinium. There are others that do more surveys than I do so other sites are available. There might even be a surveys thread somewhere on here.
Good luck with your journey, you've come to the right place, it helped me get rid of my debts and keeps me on the straight and narrow 🙂

Glad you enjoyed your break. Hope Mr SA is more himself again and he was just tired.

Afternoon all.
Worked in the office until late morning then caught the bus home to WFH this afternoon. I bought a 24 hour ticket so will be able to use it to get into work tomorrow morning after yoga.
Mr SA is still behaving a bit oddly at times. Last night at the time he's usually going for his shower and thinking about beer, he came in from the garden and declared it coffee time. He didn't believe me when I said it was after 5pm. I was about to cook his dinner as I wanted to get it done before the electricity savings hour at 6pm.
His courtesy scooter is arriving this afternoon so he'll be glad to take the dog out.
I'm glad I made the decision to peg out the washing before I left for work despite it looking like it was going to rain. It's remained dry all day and the sun is trying to come out right now.
Not a NSD as I bought the bus ticket.
Today's exercise: walking to work, Power Punch and Resistance Bands.
Tonight's dinner is sweet potato with masala spiced cannellini beans.
Once the kitchen is painted I want to replace the dishwasher and fridge freezer. However I realised that as both freezers are full I need to run down contents as I'd like to have the old fridge freezer taken away. So that's an incentive to try and run contents down so everything fits in the small freezer in readiness.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪4
