They’ve gone downhill since the original pharmacist retired. He was so helpful, the new crew aren’t unfortunately.

Morning all, happy Saturday.
What a wet miserable start to the day it is here. I think we’ll have to change our plans to go to the retail park to tomorrow when it’s forecast a bit dryer. I could go on my own on the bus but Mr SA wants to come with me mainly because he associates it with a Gr£ggs coffee and sausage roll 🙄
Still need to take the dog on the park but no rush.
I need to get some cleaning done today if we’re out tomorrow. Maybe a bit of decluttering too.
I’m making a feta, tomato and olive flatbread for my dinner tonight. Recipe is one from the WW app. I don’t like feta so I’m using salad cheese. I need to use up the cheese as it seems to go off very quickly once it’s opened. Mr SA is having lamb koftas from Lid!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪6 -
Your food is sounding very Mediterranean - let's hope the sun comes out to add to the picture! It's grey here too so our plans changed from 'car boot sale' to 'housework' but at least we get to enjoy the results either way.
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Well it turned out we could’ve gone to the retail park after all as it remained dry most of the day after my morning check in.
A job for tomorrow now.
Took the dog on the park and did a bit of litter picking. There wasn’t much litter at all, you can tell the kids are back at school.
Cleaned the downstairs rooms and also managed a bit of gardening.
Picked some rocket, salad leaves and basil from the greenhouse to go with my Greek flatbread pizza type thing. It was delicious.Mr SA has just randomly asked me if I’ve ever worn a traffic cone on my head. Something to do with a Banksy question on The Chase. As it happens I have 🤣 Circa 1980 walking home from a pub disco after several lager and blacks with my friend singing Special Brew by Bad Manners at the top of our voices. We were stopped by the police who had had complaints about the noise from local residents 😬 I was allowed to keep the traffic cone as long as we stopped singing 🤣 My mum was not amused when I arrived home with it 😬

Forgot to say Mr SA decided he desperately needed a new phone case and showed me a picture on his phone of an England case on Temu. I’ve never bought anything from them so eventually found something similar on eBay. He was happy with this and it was just under £5 from his personal spends pot.
I am SO dreading this blooming World Cup. Bored of it already and it’s not started yet 🥱

you are not the only one SA. We are lucky enough to have 2 tvs downstairs but they will all want to sit in the snug with me rather than in the lounge! My 14yr old says he’s getting up in the middle of the night to watch it! No chance on a school day! At least it will be a break from all the cricket they have on now x
