It’s an odd one with the maximum fare as the bus is from another county but must apply because it originates from the county I live in. It used to be £2 😐
I think @Baileys_Babe hit the nail on the head with Mr SA being unwell. He’s not a day drinker so it wouldn’t have entered his head to seek out wine.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪5 -
Happy Saturday 🥂
On the Mr SA front yesterday, it would’ve been for attention as @Baileys_Babe rightly said. He was probably hoping I’d dash back home. He tends to do this when he knows I’m travelling to see friends.
Another busy day, park with the dog first thing then a lot of garden tidying. I’ve nowhere to put all the clippings as the garden waste bin is full.
DS and the GKs visited after lunch. DS lent me his extendable tree trimmer so I can get some height out of a tree and the Rhododendron.
As usual didn’t see much of the GKs as they go straight upstairs to DD for gaming purposes. As I suspect DGD might be autistic along with DGS and DD I guess they ‘get’ each other. There was certainly a lot of laughter coming from DD’s room.
Despite the weather forecast being for cloudy weather today it was hot and sunny all day. When the visitors left I poured myself a G&T and sat in my hanging chair reading my book which was lovely.Tonight’s dinner has been veggie burger with home made wedges and salad.
Exercise has been a bonus live Zumba session at 8.30, dog walking and gardening resulting in just over 20,000 steps.
Rose Prosecco is open so let’s see if I make it past the first glass this week 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪5 -
Morning all.
I don’t think I’ll be sitting in the sun today it looks distinctly cloudy. I really need to give the house a good clean so probably for the best. DD has gone to work and Mr SA is still fast asleep so it’s just the dog and I downstairs on the sofa in my cosy corner.
I exchanged my Lid! points for a £5 off voucher.
As well as cleaning I need to make a meal plan for June using up freezer and cupboard stocks. I want June to be a low grocery spends month.
I can’t believe it’s June already tomorrow! It’s a month of appointments 3 hospital appointments for Mr S and dental hygienist, hairdressers and nail appointment for me. The older cat’s annual check up is also due at the end of the month but is booked for 1 July.
Won a lucky dip on the lottery.
Today’s exercise will be yoga, dog walking and general pottering around.
Not decided on tonight’s dinner yet, will see what needs using up. Loads of Prosecco left from last night 🥂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪8 -
Congratulations on the lucky dip win!
I’m glad to see that at least some of the appointments are ‘nice’ ones. It does make for a busy month though.

Hopefully after all the tests are done on Mr SA and you have a diagnosis, you can book a holiday as I think by then you will definitely need one.xx

The weather forecast was wrong again and I got plenty of time outside in the very warm sunshine and an hour reading in my hanging chair. An unexpected bonus.
I managed to get the house cleaned and also re-potted some tomatoes that had outgrown their original pots. A few plants that were in plant hospital as not looking great have suddenly started thriving so they’ve been re-potted too. Planted some pumpkin seeds, never grown them before although DS has grown them very successfully.
Made miso aubergine with noodles for dinner from Two Chubby Cubs Air Fryer book. It was delicious.
Tried to order Mr SA’s repeat prescription from his NHS app and it needed updating. Despite several attempts it wouldn’t update 😞 Eventually managed to log into his account via my iPad and thankfully I’ve managed to order his meds. Annoying because the GP practice no longer accepts orders for repeat prescriptions any other way.
Mr SA saw the Red Arrows flying over our garden earlier so he was very excited. I missed them, I was in the bath.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪6 -
Happy June 😎
Mr SA has had scan number 1. He had the radio-active tablet then had to wait an hour for the scan. We went for a coffee while we waited and only just made it back in time as we got lost in the maze of corridors. The good thing was that he went on his scooter and there was plenty of room for it in the corridors which made it a lot better for him. The scan only took 10 minutes and he said it wasn't too bad at all. He's got to go back next Monday for the same scan, this time without the tablet. These scans are to test for bile malabsorption which can cause tummy problems.
Stopped off at the C0-0p on the way back as we needed milk and it just so happened I had a £1 off next shop voucher in the app. When we got home DD had picked up some milk - oh well at least we have plenty now.
Talking of apps, the Lid! app has gifted me a free bakery item today. I've also secured a free Ner0 coffee courtesy of the 0ct0pus app.
So it's 'appy Monday - sorry I couldn't resist it 🤣
Monday finance check done and regular savers topped up. An oddment of £6.56 has gone to the Christmas pot.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from the hospital 23,137 steps plus live strength training tonight at 7.15 followed by live yoga at 8.
Tonight's dinner is air fried salmon with rice and veg.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪9 -
Wow, that is some walk to the hospital. Don't think I could walk to our nearest hospital, we are reasonably close to 3, but they are 8.7miles, 9.7 miles and 10.1 miles. Just hoping as we get older we won't be needing them much.

2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2
