Good to see you Buffy…..hope life is treating you well.
Hope you manage to repair the freezer drawer especially as you are changing it soon. I know exactly what you mean about trying to use the freezer contents and them multiplying again.
January spends - £587.581 -
I've got some repair tape that's really sticky but first I need to dry off the drawer or it won't stick. I can shove contents into a basket back in the freezer while it dries.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪1 -
I was only in the dentist's chair for 5 minutes. I have regular hygienist appointments included in my dental plan for the cleaning so it's purely a check up.
Had to pick up some milk from the local shops. I had a Mr M delivery yesterday and didn't order milk because on Monday evening there was plenty!
After lunch I took two bags of donations and an unused folding sun lounger to the charity shop so that's a load more clutter left the house. Mr SA was sifting through the bags to see if there was anything he could salvage.
Had to pick up some nuts for the squirrels as they're digging up the plant pots looking for buried ones 😐
In gardening news, on Sunday I bought the aubergine plant because there were no signs of my seeds germinating. Since then I've had 8 seeds germinate and push their leaves through, isn't that just typical. The courgettes have really grown in the past few days too. The tomatoes are doing really well. All the plants are loving the sunshine, just like me 😆
I managed to fix the drawer with the tape, have left it to stick a bit more then will return it to the freezer. I'm definitely getting a bigger fridge-freezer next time, this one is too narrow and the freezer drawers are tiny, that's why I bought the little freezer I keep in the covered area where Mr SA's scooter lives.
I finally got round to ordering the new hosepipe that's been on the wish list for over a year. The one we've got at the moment is rubbish, it's one of those that shrink back and it's got so many holes it's more or less held together with tape. This one is a 'proper' hosepipe on a reel, hopefully this will encourage Mr SA to wind it in when he's finished with it instead of leaving it trailing all over the garden.

We had one of those 'shrink back' hoses too. It was Mum's. We were with her when she bought it & it definitely wasn't cheap! She barely got to use it before she died, yet I think we had less than a year's use out of it here before it sprang multiple leaks & had to be replaced. Looked a great idea but turned out to be a waste of money.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!3 -
Hope the freezer door repair is a success
Hurrah for getting clutter out the gaff, unused sun lounger definitely takes up space!
