Do you have buxus bushes in your garden? The box moth caterpillars will absolutely destroy them...

No we don’t. The part of the garden where I was sitting backs onto a steep bank of wilderness so you get all sorts of strange insects. Nothing as bad as the woman who had a Praying Mantis jump on her shoulder while she was sunbathing round the pool in Greece. It was huge. I’ve never seen anyone move so fast 😱😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪4 -
And that’s the bank holiday gone ☹️
Had a super busy day today despite plans to relax in the sun.
Made a start on putting my winter clothes away and getting the summer clothes out.
Took the dog on the park early before it got too hot. Did a massive litter pick as not been over there for a few days.
Tidied the under stairs cupboard and moved a few bits into the shed.
Tidied up in the garden. After lunch trimmed some shrubs that were getting out of hand. Got nowhere to put the clippings as the garden waste bin is full.
Mr SA spent ages sat polishing his scooter while I was doing all this 😐I managed some time in my hanging chair.
Today’s exercise was dog walking and loads of steps.
Tonight’s dinner was smoked haddock fish cake from freezer stocks with sweet potato wedges and steamed veg.
Money wise it was a NSD.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪5 -
Hope you're not casting yer clout 'fore May be out! 😂 Meant to be rainy and cool again next week, though I don't know anyone with a may bush so have no way of telling 😁

I’m pleased the hospital is taking Mr SA condition seriously. Well done on telling him no holidays until he has the test results…it needs sorting for both your benefits.
i hope you get to see his reaction when he sups the vinegar and blackcurrant…..serves him right.Enjoy the new shed. I remember when we got ours….3 narrow bike sheds along the side of the house….each had shelving and each shed had its own purpose 🥴😯you should see them now 😡 Dh needs to do some serious sorting before the house sale goes through.

Glad you at least got some time in your chair.

I always leave a selection of cooler weather clothing in my wardrobe. I feel the cold very easily. The puffer jacket has been washed but never gets put away 😆

Afternoon all.
Worked in the office for a couple of hours or so then left so I wasn't walking home at the hottest part of the day. The air con was on in the office so when I walked outside I got a blast of heat. The pavements were so hot I could feel the heat through the soles of my sandals.
Went on a wild goose chase looking for some reduced priced Fugglers in The Entertainer for DGD. She'd sent me some photos of the ones she wanted but there was no sign of them in the shop.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home, Mr SA met me on the scooter. I can't believe he brought the dog with it being so hot! I had been sent a coupon for £2 off a £25 spend; I didn't think I'd spend that much but actually spent a lot more! I was shocked to see Mr SA inside the store with the dog! I told him to get out, dogs not allowed in food stores but he had discovered the middle aisles and wanted (yet another!) pair of water shoes and a pair of swimming shorts. The last pair of water shoes he had he declared unsafe and they went to the charity shop. Bearing in mind he doesn't go in water… They've come out of his personal spends so it's up to him if he wants to waste his money. Anyway I think I've qualified for the 200 bonus points now as I spent over £30.
Mr SA has had letters for 3 hospital appointments, one is next Monday. He's got one for mid-month at the further away hospital that takes 3-4 hours. Hopefully I might be able to leave him there and nip to the office for a couple of hours and pick him up later, as it's a lot nearer the office than home. I really don't want to be sat around waiting for him for that long.
It's DGS's 10th birthday today, those 10 years have flown by. I just put some money in a card so he can choose what he wants.
It was the start of the new 4 week budget period yesterday so closed off the previous budget. There was an underspend of £87.87 in the groceries/alcohol pot so £8.87 went to the Christmas pot and £80 to the stock up pot. Across the other 3 pots there was an underspend of £120.88 so £20.88 went to the Christmas pot and the rest split up into master pots accordingly. CC balance was cleared.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work 18,643 steps and it's live resistance bands at 6.15.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of yellow split pea and sweet potato curry from freezer stocks. I know it's not exactly curry weather 😆

Don't know how you managed over 18000 steps in this heat. I've done 5000 so far today, having a don't go out and don't do much day….LOL Although I did nip to the local C00p before 8am. Spent 10 mins in the garden and decided it was too hot, even in the shady part. So have done 3 loads of washing, cleaned the bathroom and downstairs loo, hoovered the kitchen, and done a load of P/fc studies and ordered some blackout curtains for bedroom. Might just play piano and do some puzzle for the rest of the afternoon….Just so tired!
