I caught Mr SA with his phone out of its case today - after all I said to him about trashing the screen again. He said it would be fine without in his pocket/bag - yes just like all the other times 😖 I told him no case no new phone if it gets trashed so it's currently back in the case. Sometimes I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall!
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪3 -
Oh my days, I’ve just had the most horrendous battle with my hanging chair cover and the wind at the bottom of the garden 😱 It was like being on a trawler on the high seas! I had to enlist Mr SA’s help to unhook it from its stand and get it in the shed. If the cover hadn’t been tied to the stand it would’ve been miles away by now. The zip had broken so I’ve had to order a new cover, allegedly windproof but then it hasn’t encountered the wind round here 😆
Jeez!

Afternoon all.
I'm absolutely shattered today thanks to the dog waking me up at midnight to go out then again at 1am to be sick and have diarrhoea. Thankfully it was on the hard floor in my home office but I still didn't appreciate clearing up sick and poop at that time in the morning, especially as I had to be up by 5am at the latest to go to the office.
She seems fine now and is eating and as lively as she's likely to get for a 14 year old dog.
Worked in the office until lunchtime then WFH this afternoon.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home. They've sent me a £5 off £40 voucher but I was too tired to think about whether I can spend it so just got the bare minimum today. We could do with some more compost but I need to think about what we need over the coming weeks to decide whether I can spend enough. There's no room in the freezer so no point even thinking about anything that will need to go in there.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's live Zumba tonight.
Tonight's dinner is leftover veggie sausage and chickpea tagine from Tuesday.
I need sleep 😴💤

That sounds rotten. Poor dog and poor you! Sending fairy dust for a sound sleep tonight ✨

Hope you have a better night tonight.

Afternoon all, happy Friday.
Worked in the office for a bit this morning then took an extended lunch break to do a few bits in the city centre before logging back on for a couple of hours WFH.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home and utilised the £5 off £40 spend voucher.
Had a run in with the local chemists as for the past 3 months I've had to chase up Mr SA's prescription. In the past it used to arrive a couple of days after ordering it on the NHS app but just lately they haven't been delivering it. They said they had stopped delivering it and enquired as to why I thought he was entitled to deliveries as they only offered them to housebound people. Explained to them that he isn't capable of picking up prescriptions due his brain injury which causes mobility and communication problems and that I'm working and don't have time to pick them up. Bearing in mind last time he had to pick them up he got into a right tizz and I ended up having to speak to them over the phone. Reminded them it was all agreed with them when we tried to switch to an online pharmacy and they wanted to keep the custom and persuaded us to stay with them in return for home delivery. Then they tried to say the delivery driver was refusing to deliver his prescription as the gate was always locked and he couldn't gain access to the door. This is an out and out lie because the drive gates are never locked 😡 Anyway the upshot is they're going to deliver them in future, but I told them if they slip up again we will be changing to online.
In other medical news Mr SA got a letter from the hospital detailing all the tests they're running. He's still got a few more tests to go including a gastroscopy. Something has shown up in his test for coeliac so a further test needs to be done. At least they're being thorough after all the waiting.
Quick end of week finance check done and spreadsheet updated with today's Lid! spend.
The dog is back to normal and I got a good night's sleep last night.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work 20,896 steps.
Tonight's dinner is lightly dusted yellowfin sole with sweet potato wedges and steamed veg.
Mr SA has just phoned me from the greenhouse to inform me the new hosepipe runs right down to it. Obviously he was too excited about this news for it to wait until he got back into the house 😆

Your chemist sounds the pits. Imagine questioning why it needs to be delivered.
