That is no age at all these days is it. We're definitely allowed to keep that sort of thing!

And that’s Easter and the long weekend done. Back on the hamster wheel tomorrow 🙁
What a beautiful day so warm and sunny. Got two loads of washing dry and got out my hanging chair and sat for an hour in the sun with my book. An early taste of summer. It was lovely to see bees and butterflies out enjoying the sunshine.
Gave the kitchen a good clean this morning as DD was off work but went to the gym. Too good an opportunity to miss.
Had to go to the little Mr T for milk. Can you believe DD came back with milk too!
Went to the charity shop with 3 bags of donations but they weren’t accepting them today so had to take them back. Good job they were on Mr SA’s scooter as they were heavy. Then took the dog on the park. It was really busy.
The storm blew a roof panel off the covered area at the side of the house and it ended up in a garden across the road from us! Imagine seeing that flying through the air! The lady who lives there is away but Mr SA still went to retrieve it. I wasn’t too happy about him doing this while she’s away and wanted him to wait until she’s back. I know she won’t mind though and she’s been away for a few days so never knew she’d acquired it. We’ll have to wait until DS is next here and can put it back on.
I did quite a bit of gardening this afternoon and filled the garden waste bin.
Today’s exercise has been almost 16,000 steps so far and I’m doing a live strength training session at 7.15.
Tonight’s dinner is spicy tofu noodles with tahini sauce from the Deliciously Ella app.
Back in the office tomorrow but meeting friends for lunch so won’t be so bad.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪6 -
Glad you are meeting friends tomorrow.

Your mum was very young. I get emotional too when I see my mum's writing. Actually I'm getting emotional now thinking about you and your mum's writing and me and my mum's writing. I don't think we will ever stop missing them.

Afternoon all.
Worked in the office this morning until lunchtime then went for lunch with friends. WFH for the rest of the day.
Had a lovely lunch, just a quick catch up as we were all going back to work.
Stopped off at Lid! on the way home, picked up free pointed peppers for the free veg coupon as we still have quite a few potatoes, also picked up a free muffin for Mr SA with the free sweet bakery item coupon. Mr SA met me with the dog and did nothing but rile me for the whole walk home. He started by telling me what he wanted for dinner, then moved on to tell me I needed to pick up some 💩from the garden, oh and there's loads of litter on the park again (blooming school holidays), what time can he have his beer and last but not least he needs loads of new clothes for holiday. I was about ready to throttle him by the time we got home 😡
Every year he says he doesn't need anything new for holiday and every year closer to the time he insists he does. I haven't got out the summer clothes yet so he's basing his theory on what's out at the moment. He's also decided as it's his birthday month this means free rein to spend as much as he wants to. He keeps singing 'it's my birthday and I'll spend what I want to'. As his birthday isn't until the end of the month I guess my patience will have worn very thin by then.
In good financial news - brace yourselves - I've won £100 on the PBs!! Yes me who never wins on them! I had no idea but got a text from them today telling me to check the app. I thought it must be £25 so was very pleasantly surprised to see it was £100. The strange thing is I was wondering whether it was worth keeping them as I never win anything and would I be better off having the money in savings. I was actually saving in a 6 months saver which was originally destined to go to PBs in a lump sum when it matured and was starting to think about utilising it elsewhere.
Did the Monday finance check a day late and paid off the cc balance.
Today's exercise has been walking to/from work and it's live resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of tempeh bolognese from freezer stocks with pasta and salad.
Household tasks: ironing, vacuuming and weed/tidy a small area of the garden.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping) -.literally have been run over by a bike, mobility scooter and a car - still here 💪7 -

There seems to be a bit of a rash of this happening when there are good offers. Last time I got the 15% off halloumi in my plus app, there was suddenly none at all on the shelves at the store. Next time I went in, after the offer had expired, surprise surprise, shelf fully stocked again. last week with the crisps voucher for 50% off - they'd obviously not got in any further stock and so the shelves were decimated!
Great news on the PB win SA!

Yay to the PB win! I think you & I started buying PBs at around the same time. It's so nice to get a winning bond.
2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!2 -
