Bearing in mind Mr sA isn’t too careful, are the folding scoters as robust? Would it cost you anything to take it on flights?
It doesn’t cost to take on flights but will need to have a lithium battery. I would hope that as the scooter would be his it would make him more careful with it 🤞 I think it’s the bigger scooters that cause the problems as he squeezes them through tight spots. There was a couple we spoke to at special assistance, the husband had a folding scooter and his wife explained how easy it was to fold down.

The folding scooters are not so robust 'tis true but it won't get nearly so much use.

Be cautious with the centre of gravity on folding scooters - my Dad had one briefly but because it was far lighter and on a smaller base than the one he ended up with it felt very unstable to him - he wasn't by any stretch a large chap either so someone taller or broader might have even more issues with it. He only had it a few days as it nearly went over on a slightly uneven bit of ground and he and Mum decided it wasn't fit for purpose. He was able to take his regular scooter on the train though if that helps at all - you just have to let the station staff know so they can get the ramps ready for you to board - and the train guard arranges it for the other end I think…worth investigating. Buses were more complicated as i recall - you need a permit round here to take a mobility scooter on them but again, it was possible.

Delighted to hear you had such a fantastic holiday and excellent to have already booked next year in the same place too - I love doing that!

Forgot to add have done a quick once over of finances and paid off the cc balance. Going to send savings off tomorrow when I've got my work head on.

Had to play freezer Tetris this morning after the Mr M delivery and have made a list of contents of both freezers. It's fair to say I have more than enough vegan sausages, I must not be tempted by Lid! mark downs for the foreseeable future!

Hope the test results aren't anything too serious. The holiday sounded lovely….especially the sunshine 🌞.

I was listening to a programme on the radio whilst we were away and they were talking about bringing a test in for drivers of mobility scooters as there had been a lot of accidents with folk not fully capable of driving them. I immediately thought of your broken ankle. The suggested a mini test before your allowed to buy/hair one. I don't suspect it will ever happen but there was a lot of heated discussion around it.

    Morning all, happy Wednesday.

Sadly back at work today but WFH so not too bad. Opened my inbox to 302 emails!

Exercise today will be taking the dog on the park shortly and Zumba at 6pm. I need to sort something out for my dinner tonight, should involve vegan sausages I suppose seeing as I have so many of them 😆

I still need to send off money to the 3 regular saver accounts and the 1p saver pot.

It will be NSD 1 of May as no plans to spend anything.

Oh goodness - that's going to be alarming for you both about the blood test results then - let's hope it turns out to be something minor and someone getting a bit over-eager on the phone (not though there is ever a good reason for that to happen!)

    Eek to 302 emails!
