Welcome home SA - we built a new log store over winter and laid scads of membrane beneath it with slabs on top and the bluebells have penetrated through all the slab joints and through the non corresponding wooden slats.
I dig loads out every year by the bulb and still they fill more and more borders every year. I would leave them to it but they are the hydrid Spanish ones instead of the more delicate domestic ones.Lancashire

The weather is a bit crazy today, one minute it’s sunny and warm then looks like it going to rain the next.
I caved in and went to the shops, glad I did as Iceland had a really good deal 8 items for £10. Stocked up on pizzas, scampi and fish fingers, only just managed to squeeze it all in the freezers.
Mr SA is having a siesta so it’s all quiet at the moment. The dog enjoyed her run on the park. Some 🤬 has fly tipped an armchair and bin bags full of cushions on our road in a part of it where there aren’t any houses just bushes on one side and the park on the other. This is a regular occurrence, the other week it was a desk and before that a freezer. Whoever it is obviously has transport so why can’t they just take these things to the tip 😡I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
They are complete rats SA - imagine they are illegally dumping as the tip would charge them as a business.Lancashire

The Iceland offer sounds good. Do you know if it is only for today? Wonder if I go on Tuesday, I'd get my extra 10% discount for being over 60

Got loads of washing dry, the weather is now sunny and warm, I’ve even been sitting outside reading my book.@Makingabobor2 I don’t think the offer is just today so worth you looking tomorrow. There were loads of different things to choose from. Look at the freezers at the end of the aisles. The suitcases are unpacked and things put away. We came back with €101 so that will roll forward to Zante. I tried to book Lanzarote for next April but something went wrong with the Jet2 app. Same apartments as they were brilliant. Everyone we spoke to staying there planned to book again. One couple had booked next year before they left.Made a start on the jungle this afternoon. How can everything grow so wild in a week! I’ll just have to keep chipping away at it. I wish Mr SA would help, he got up at 9 and was back in bed just after 12, then he sat watching TV all afternoon. I know he’s limited in what he can do but any small amount would help me.I’ve been thinking about getting Mr SA a small folding travel scooter to take on holidays and also so we could go places on the train with the dog. It would pay for itself after a few uses as we’re paying out €100 plus to hire every time. The only worry would be if it broke down while we were away. Mr SA would get cheap rail travel and I’d go free as a carer. Plus we could also go further afield on the bus with the dog and we’d both go free with his disabled pass. Definitely worth investigating.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

If it were to break while away on holiday could you then hire another for the remaining time? Or do you always need to book in advance. Still sounds like a great idea so you can travel a little further afield

Bearing in mind Mr sA isn’t too careful, are the folding scoters as robust? Would it cost you anything to take it on flights?:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j2
