Assume that Mr SA has a set of fingers crossed here for his results. It's not surprising that you view all things medical with a degree of trepidation I don't think allowing for what you've both been through over the last few years.

Still no news on the test results, it's via phone call rather than face to face. I assume they are phoning at the end of surgery. This is the trouble with second hand information from Mr SA, he never listens properly so everything is vague. He's just remembered they asked him to take a urine sample down before we went on holiday!

Our GP surgery is rubbish 😡 Mr SA just had a message to say he didn’t attend his face to face appointment at 16.10. He genuinely didn’t know he had one because on the confirmation message from them on Tuesday it said over the phone with no time given! He’s now rebooked in for a face to face next Tuesday. What a palaver!

Sounds as bad as my dad's surgery. He had an appointment with a nurse practitioner as Dr was too busy. Nurse was running late so the health care assistant saw him. Examined him and then went into see a GP, who prescribed antibiotics based on a health care assistant's diagnosis. A week later when he had to go back and see the actual nurse, she tells him the health care assistant was wrong and he was not diagnosed correctly and didn't need the antibiotics!

The annoying thing is the receptionist tried to make out it was his fault for not turning up. He’s had a message confirming Tuesday so it’s obvious someone their end made a mistake. The appointment is with the nurse so I guess it’s just something lifestyle related that’s come up in his blood tests and not something life threatening.

We had a similar thing at the Vet, @Sun_Addict. We turned up for our appointment & they couldn't find us in the book. I gave the exact time again & because my surname has been known to cause difficulties, checked they hadn't only written half of it. Nope, because we weren't in the diary at all. Then she turned the page & said "Ah. We will still see you, but your appointment is actually tomorrow". It absolutely wasn't. I booked it myself & we were definitely there on the correct day. I did feel rather a strong sense that they didn't believe me, but stood my ground because I am so annoyingly organised with admin & my own diary.
Mistakes get made however.....hope the results are nothing too troublesome.
