A pottering type day today. I've emptied two bags from the small room, and have rediscovered some old nick nacks that I loved. I've popped them out on display so they can bring me joy
I've also decided to have a go at the kitchen, pull everything out of the cupboards, clean and declutter if possible. I figured best get on with it just in case the plumber needs to go investigating anywhere elseI've given the area he will be working a good clean, and also done an alcove and a cupboard too. So I've made a start! I've got a couple of weeks so don't need to rush through it all.
I want to make a start on the kids bedrooms too. All the stuff I dumped in there is putting me off, hence tackling the two bags today. It's a small start, but better than it was this morning. I've got to keep telling myself it's better to do something than not bother because I can't do it all!
Prompted by @savingholmes to look at TCB I had some cashback payable so I've withdrawn that and will PAD when it arrives. Not a large amount, but it all helps. I still have some pending too.
I've got some listings I need to get on as well. DH is currently selling a few things which go out tomorrow, so we should be losing a bit more clutter."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Not much done so far today. We've booked a weekend in Cornwall using the s#n holidays promotion. We were hoping to try Dorset or S Wales but those options weren't available with the dog. It does break up the year having a weekend away, and good for less than £100.
I've adjusted one listing, but not added the new ones yet, I need to do that. I've been organised and got birthday stuff for the next couple of months. It's our busy birthday time of year. I've also got some filler and sanding blocks ahead of sorting the bedrooms. I don't want to buy paint until I know whether we've already got some useable stuff here or not.
DH has arranged to take the kids to visit his brother next Saturday so I might take that time to start on the small room. In order for me to do that I need to get everything out otherwise it will just use up all my time moving stuff. I'm going to try and do a little each day."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Today's attempt involved me standing in the small room thinking, where do I start, and leaving again! 🤦♀️
