Well done in dropping a range in the sugars. Honestly with all the things going on a work it's a real achievement that you shouldn't under rate. Well done you.

Little miss and I have had a cold this week, but both on the mend. We've been feeling rough though. Little jwil had a couple of days off feeling unwell, but I have a suspicion it was anxiety, so I sent him back today. That was a real battle, and I had a call from school once he arrived asking me to come and get him again. I explained my thinking and they agreed with me, so I didn't go in, but my word, it has been a draining day. He and I were both in tears this morning, and I felt awful about saying I didn't think I should go in and collect my distressed child. Luckily it seems to have been the correct decision and he was ok this afternoon (albeit in a strop with me for not going in to get him this morning). I did make it clear that I would go back in if he didn't improve, but I wanted him to give it a go first. He had a residential last weekend, so I think it would have all been a lot for him so early into the term. He seems quite happy again now, and if it is something other than anxiety then at least he's got the weekend to relax now."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I keep looking to see what's around, and have seen a couple of jobs that would be interesting, but I might as well sit it out, because if I do get made redundant, I'd like the payout! Also I've got my compressed hours, flexi, WFH etc which it would be a shame to give up in the short term.
