I've finished early today, hurrah!
Electrician has confirmed he will be here the week before I'm off so at least that will be done and sorted. I've also got a couple of weeks to try and find somewhere to put everything!
The weather is one extreme to another, a couple of days ago, huddling against a hot water bottle, today absolutely melting!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -

Happy Friday! It's very hot again, and the farmers are muck spreading, so it smells delightful out there! 🤢 I spent a while looking around the house for the source of the stink before I realised what it was
Last day today, hurrah! I've told little jwil I want to walk him to school one last time. The leavers service last night was lovely. A few tears shed I think."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
Aww, little jwil not so little anymore...

It's so hot here today! Despite that I've actually got off my rear and done some stuff today. I've put the chest of drawers back that we moved from the landing for the bathroom, and made a start on putting things back into the airing cupboard. I've finally decluttered it and took the bags down to school this afternoon to get rid of them. I only managed to get one in, so took the other to another clothing bank nearby on the way home.
Somehow, little jwil had over 65 pairs of socks! I've no idea how that happened, we must have never got rid of any as most of them were small sizes. I've just kept a few pairs for now, and got rid of the rest. We'll get him some new ones.
I decluttered some towels and some bedding as well, so the airing cupboard should be much tidier when I put the rest away. I normally wash and put the same set back on the beds, so we don't need loads of spares, and of course with the coverless duvets I don't need loads of duvet sets any more. I do want to get some decent bedding at some point, our pillowcases etc are so faded. I want to get some nice quality ones, and will probably replace the pillows as well.
I played the obligatory 'school's out for summer' when we came home today"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6 -
