Hi Jwil
Hope you recover quickly. Not easy with disturbed sleep and worrying about little Master Jwil either.
On the EPC when I had mine - they measure and look in every room. Check whether you have energy efficient light bulbs etc - age of boiler etc - insulation level in the loft. Mine took about 45 minutes I think.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thank you, that's useful. I thought that might happen and that's why I cancelled last time as there was just too much to do. It's not so bad now, which suggests we've made progress! I'd still better keep doing a little bit at a time so I don't leave it all til the last minute.savingholmes said:Hi Jwil

Thanks everyone. I'm still feeling rough today so not much achieved. The kids sold a load of stuff so that's been packed and posted.
Little jwil's been out to a party today. He's fine during the day but it's bad at night. He's got 4 pillows at the moment, so I can't really raise him much more! The lack of sleep isn't helping me either, but to be honest, I'd rather have my tonsilitis than his cough!
I've got a funeral to go to this week, but it's halfway up the country, so will see how I'm feeling. If it turns into a cough, I won't go, as that will just be distracting and unfair on everyone else plus obviously the risk of sharing it.
I've prepped a couple of listings but don't think I've got the energy or enthusiasm to do them. Might put it off for a bit."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3 -
Well done on the parcels. I think it's easy to overlook how much you are doing even when you think you aren't. Most people would either tip or donate their stuff. The way you are doing it takes a lot more energy - although I appreciate there are some rewards too.

Hope you feel better soon 🤞I'm another one who's loft is "insulated " with belongings 😀 part of my loft is boarded out but I'm hoping that I will be able to clear it out this year. There's lots of things in there that don't actually belong to me and the rest can go to the charity shopsOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,756 Owed = £10,8741

Can I make a suggestion for little jwil. I used to put the pillows under the head of the mattress as they tend to slide off just pillows. It worked a treat with my asthmatic daughter and I discovered it when I worked in a childrens home and had a child with whooping cough. (Dont worry it was a long time ago). You may have tried this already so tell me to MYOB.

Well done on the PADs.
I do genuinely wonder if it's saving us money on energy billsOnebrokelady said:Hope you feel better soon 🤞I'm another one who's loft is "insulated " with belongings 😀 part of my loft is boarded out but I'm hoping that I will be able to clear it out this year. I'd love to have it cleared but it's generally not my stuff, so one for DH to deal with. At least it's out of sight.
I'm happy to hear all suggestions! That's a good idea. I think (hope!) it's cracked now, as he had a better night last night, but I'm storing it up for next time, thank you.ladyholly said:Can I make a suggestion for little jwil. Little jwil had a better night last night thankfully, so I think he got some sleep. Hopefully the same tonight.
I'm still feeling rough. I considered going sick today, but figured I had to get up to sort everything for school, and then had to do all the school runs anyway so I might as well just get on with it.
I've decided I'm not going to go to the funeral this week, as I'm going to be too wiped out regardless. It's a long way to travel and will be stressful. I will send a card and see if they are doing a charity collection that I can contribute to.
Little jwil is about to turn 11 (!), so it's a hectic week anyway. I just looked back at my old diary when I found out I was expecting. I've been wittering on here for a long time now and I think I'm still moaning about the same stuff
I was so young and full of energy back then *sigh*
