I've had a lovely day.ย  We went to Exmouth for a bit, and then stopped in Ikea on the way back.ย  I've got my rug, and I got some birthday money which will contribute to it, so it won't have cost me much at all.ย  I've also got a nice few books to work my way through :)

My knee has been playing up again recently, and I hurt it again in Ikea today, so I've just re-read the info the dr gave me when I went to see them before.ย  It's been triggering my anxiety a bit, wondering if it's going to 'go' at some point, and I won't be able to get home.ย  I have reassured myself that I am overreacting, as the symptoms in my info sheet exactly match mine.ย  I need to carry on being active and I probably need to have another go at some of the other strengthening exercises they gave me.

One of the good things about the new tv is that there's a health app on there with a load of shortish exercise videos.ย  I'm going to try and make the effort to do some, as I won't have to try and find a spot for the laptop or phone to watch everything, and it's easier on a bigger screen.

I'm also trying to decide what my next 'small step' will be for my health.ย  I'm thinking about trying to give up bread as it doesn't make me feel great.ย  I'll probably have a push on that after easter.ย  I'm eating far too much of it at the moment, but I do love a hot cross bun from the bakery!ย  After easter they'll be gone again, so it will be much easier :Dย
Bread or in fact anything doughy is my downfall ๐Ÿ˜‚ I've tried to give it up but that didn't end well. I'm going to start using the Nutracheck app again to calorie count as that way I can still eat it but in moderation ๐Ÿ˜Š

Im glad you had a lovely day ๐Ÿ˜ŠI love going to Exmouth but I haven't been for a while because it's also one of Bs favourite places and I feel guilty going without her. We always go and have chips and she has a sausage ๐Ÿ˜€

    Happy birthday xx
    Thank you :)ย ย

I need to give up bread too. I have done before and it wasnโ€™t too hard, but then it crept in again! For me itโ€™s anything yeasty that seems to bloat me, so wraps were a brilliant substitute. Almost bread, but not quite!ย
What is your lovely new rug like? And what books did you go for? Iโ€™m glad you had a good day.ย
Yes, I think I can give it up relatively easily.ย  I need to be more consistent about freezing the bread I buy for little miss, so that I don't eat it to use it up before it goes off.ย  It will be moneysaving as well!

The new rug is just plain and beige.ย  I need a break from patterns!ย  The 70s carpet is multicoloured and patterned and very visually noisy.ย  I plan on painting the room a sky blue, so hopefully it will feel almost seaside like in the end!

I haven't spent any of my kindle money yet but I have a huge wishlist I can choose from.ย  I got given a few books though, a couple of chick lit type books, one YA book about 9/11 which sounds intriguing, and a comic book written by Keanu Reeves :grin:ย  ย I read very eclectically!

Happy Birthday to you. Glad to hear you had a nice day . ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‚.
    Thank you :)ย ย

Why don't you try giving up bread for lent? Just a thoughtย  :)
Because I have a terrible hot cross bun habit, and they are only available between now and easter :D (I buy the fresh ones, not the pre-packed ones that are around all year).ย  So it's a great idea, but I figure it's only just over a month away now.ย  I will try and not eat any other bread though in the meantime!

I had a terrible night's sleep yesterday so feel rough today.ย  Might be related to the fact I ate bread at every meal yesterday!ย ย

We are off swimming this morning, but otherwise not much planned for today, so I shall be tackling some books I think!ย  I will try and get the rug down as well if I can.

I haven't done a PAD this morning as my banking app is down ๐Ÿ˜ฑย  I'll have to try and remember to go in later and see if it's back up again.ย  There was planned work overnight, but it was meant to be back up again by now.

DH sold three items yesterday and the kids have a lot of stuff selling tonight, so there will (hopefully) be a nice lot leaving this week :)

Take care painting plain blue. It can feel very cold. You could get the hot cross buns and freeze them until Good Friday and beyond. That way you can defrost them one at a time.ย  I have to admit I am the same and resisting the nicer sm ones is proving hard as they are in all sorts of unexpected places so its not as simple as avoiding the relevant aisle.

I like blue as well.ย  It wouldn't work in my front room which is north facing and cold, but I think it should be bright and cheery where I've got it planned.

This is the book, it sounds quite interesting:ย https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eleven-Tom-Rogers/dp/099118100X/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3JUT05MJUBJM3&keywords=eleven&qid=1708261431&sprefix=eleven,aps,510&sr=8-1
