Thank you :)  It was a relief.  I wish it would go too, there's nothing outwardly causing it!

Sorry to hear that, it's hard isn't it.  I can't even bring myself to do 5 minutes of something! Although I have forced myself this morning.

I'm very glad about the cat, I was a bit worried we were going to get bad news.

  • The other thing to think about @jwil (or at least what I’ve seen from following your diary) is that even when you don’t feel great, you keep going and still achieve small steps.
I think we’re all really good at telling ourselves we haven’t done enough but actually all the small, or even tiny, steps add up and pushing through and doing small things when you don’t feel like it is a massive achievement.
Do you ever go back to the beginning of your diary and read it again?  If not, you should do that to see how far you’ve come.
    Glad the cat is okay
    Wishing you all the best.

Thank you :)  You are right, I should celebrate what I do do rather than worry about what I don't.

I don't go back and read, I should do - I have several previous ones too.  It would be a good reminder.

Actually while I was thinking (and not doing!) today, it did occur to me that the house feels very cluttered again at the moment, but that is due to moving the cube units around and having identified that a good portion of the stuff that was stored in them is to go.  So that's a lot of future decluttering, which will make a big difference.  I just need to get to the point that I do it rather than just think about it :D:D It's mostly kids toys, but loads of bits which need to be sorted and put together so they can be sold or donated. It's overwhelming and I just need to do a little at a time, but can't bring myself to make a start.  I will do at some point.

  • I think that’s the nail on the head @jwil. I expect you remember all the times you messed something up rather than the thousands of times you did things right or really well. You probably don’t notice most of them.
I think when things are overwhelming, tiny steps are important.  Even if that’s only a list of what you are going to do or de-cluttering one small thing.  As you can see from my user name the inaction part of things is something I am working on!!
You also have two young children to care for, a partner, a job. Be kind to yourself -   I know from reading your diaries that you will do that de-cluttering so if it doesn’t happen now it’s not the end of the world.  Small steps…..
