DH has finished work until Wednesday, so our family time can start now 🎄🎄
We are off out in a minute to get our turkey etc, then will be ready. A quick tidy round today planned, and catching up with the washing, then not a lot else.
Have a good day everyone

We were out and back by 9am so pretty pleased with that. Went to 4 shops including the farm shop and got everything planned and a few unplanned
I went into Lidl as DH had mentioned that when he bought wrapping paper the other day it was half price, so I went in to see if they had any neutral ish paper that could be used as birthday paper throughout the year. I like their wrapping paper, it's good quality and you get a lot on the roll. I got 4 rolls for 49p each so very pleased about that. I then got suckered by the middle aisle, and came out with a new pet bed each for the cat and the dog
and then at the tills spotted that they had their cheap perfume in again this year. It's only £6.99 a bottle and smells lovely. I've (bizarrely) had several random people comment about it when I've been wearing it in the past. So I picked up two bottles of that as well.
I've tidied round and made some soup for lunch. DH took little jwil out on his bike and came back with a load of mistletoe.
I then sat and watched Swallows and Amazons, and once again was not impressed that they'd changed a lot of it. I'll have to find the old film now. I like the books as they are!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

Hope everyone is having a nice day. We went to the coast this morning to blow away the cobwebs, it was nice.
This afternoon we've been chilling and I've made a start on prepping food for tomorrow. Just going to tidy up the kitchen and then sit down for the evening.

Happy Boxing Day! Hope everyone had a nice day yesterday.
I had some lovely gifts yesterday, and the kids were very happy, but apart from that, the day pretty much sucked. So today is going to be my 'proper' Christmas.
I was up early to get the gammon cooked before we go to visit relatives, so we can have that at lunchtime with salad and leftovers.
I've relisted everything that hadn't already been done, and done two listings. DH is selling a couple of items later as well from those that had already been relisted so that's good. I got an amazon voucher yesterday so might have a browse later.
I've listed all the kids gifts so they know who to write their thank you notes to. I've also negotiated with them how much of their money they are keeping to spend and how much to add to savings.
Now everyone is up, I'm going to go and have a nice shower with all my lovely new smellies! It makes a nice change from me using the cheapest ones all the time.
Have a good day everyone
