That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Happy boxing day. I hope you have a better day today and have enjoyed your shower with nice smellies.
Christmas alwys seems a bit of an anti climax after all the stress, work and worry so rather over rated. Boxing day is more relaxed here and I hope for you.

I never know when people say they had a great Xmas whether they are just lying (to themselves and others) or if it is really true. I only relax when the main social elements are done. I totally empathise with you there. If the kids were happy that helps. Glad you found the missing mobile - one less stress. Well done on the PADs too and for negotiating with the kids over savings.

Happy Boxing Day 🎄 Hope today is better than yesterday for you. I’m always glad when the big day is over it never lives up to expectations.
    Thank you :)

  • Hi

I have been reading your diary for a good while, but have never posted before.  Just wanted to say that I think you have made fantastic progress in your goals - the daily PADs are very impressive.  I am very much of the belief that the small things that are done consistently are the key to success - whatever the goals are (just have to put that into practice as you might see from my user name).

I generally enjoy it, but this year seemed to be busy dealing with frustrating stuff rather than having any time to relax.  We had a relative visit who is either really nice or really obnoxious, and it was obviously an obnoxious day that day, so I was so fed up and couldn't really get away from it all.

Yesterday was better but still stuff going on.  I think I'm just tetchy at the moment :D

Today DH was back to work, and because of the weather forecast our friends cancelled the planned day out (which as it turns out was good as the motorway and local roads were chaos today).  I planned on a nice chilled day, but then had a phone call from the electrician asking if he could come and do the work for the boiler.

I said yes, and then had an hour to dash around trying to clear space (the fuse box cupboard is buried in packaging for ebay stuff) and tidy around.  It's all done now though so that's good.  It feels nice to gradually have things being modernised here!  I did the meter reading while I was in there as well.

I did my house insurance renewal so that's sorted.  Got a slightly cheaper quote by shopping around so it all helps.

I've also cleared a cube unit so it can be moved upstairs though I will need DH to help with that.  It means that I can remove the tv etc out of the extension and will allow the kids to have their new console downstairs without me having to sacrifice my 'quiet' space.

4 parcels posted today so at least we can now start making a dent in that mountain of packaging again! (it's all built up due to our online shopping, and pausing of ebay sales over Christmas).

Less_Talk_and_More_Action, thanks for posting! (and reading!).  It's always nice to hear from people.  I love your user name, and definitely need to do more of that!  You are right though, the PADs are a habit now, and I automatically do them each day as I check my banks without even thinking about it.  I need to transfer that to other areas of my life (as was the plan when I started this diary) :D
