Well done on starting the gift buying. I have too but only 'cos DD asked me to buy some stuff of her to give her for Xmas. That's her presents sorted. Just the odd wrap up now to find for her. Almost everyone else's gifts are still outstanding though.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Just catching up - have been Mia for the last month. You are amazing! And sounds like you are very much the lynchpin of your family! I hope DH had a good day back at work and you weren’t too worried about him. Age is definitely catching up with me & DH so I feel your worry & anxiety (DH seems to be having lots of hospital appointments but mainly minor stuff!)
Glad you managed to get away for a weekend, I wish we lived further south - I love the southwest.Have a fab weekend & enjoy your social time & then relax after. Sending you a massive hug xx2 -

Well done on making a start. I like to try and be done by the end of November, so I can just chill and enjoy the run up to Christmas.

Hope DH is ok. It's stressful.
I love where I live, but there are so many stunning places in this country as well, I love exploring new areas.
Hope you have a lovely weekend."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -

Happy weekend everyone
We are out today, and tomorrow I plan on not leaving the house. I will be taking birthday and Christmas gifts with me today, so that's something ticked off the list.
I've started buying the non-fresh foods for Christmas as well, just adding an odd item to the shopping each week, so that will help spread the cost (we don't buy loads, but it's nice to get it in and not worry about it being out of stock closer to the time). Of course it was necessary to eat the mince pies to check they were suitable 😁
I'm going to try and make a list of gifts etc so I know what I want to buy and then can keep an eye out for offers. Same with food. I'm trying to work my way through the cupboards and freezer to have a declutter. I also want to look for a new fridge freezer as ours is 17 years old, and the freezer drawers have been broken for years, and I managed to crack it again the other day. If I can find one I want, then again, I can hopefully keep an eye out for offers as ours is still working at the moment.
I want to get back into the decluttering as well, as I don't really feel like I've done anything for ages.
Have a good weekend everyone

You def need to taste test the mince pies, you might need an alternative brand as they aren’t good enough and how would you know without the taste test 🤣🤣🤣Sealed pot challenge 822

We had a nice time meeting friends today, so that was good.
I posted off little miss's old tablet (not the one she is currently using) for the trade in, and despite the fact that it is very rarely used, sod's law, she asked for it this afternoon! How do they always manage to do that?! She doesn't know she's getting a new one and I'd packed it up when the kids weren't around."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
