I'm very glad it's Friday. I feel drained, exhausted and an anxious ball of nerves! The kids are on an inset day so at least there's no school run today. We won't be doing anything apart from little miss's swimming lesson, which is a shame, but I need to try and wind down. They are perfectly happy and DH is off with them next week so they'll get out and about.
Looks like we've got probably one more trip to the hospital next week and then may be referred back to the GP Nurse. Fingers crossed!
Work is very busy and I seem to be juggling lots of different things. There's also a fair amount of high pressure stuff going on which I am being asked to contribute to. I've also been invited to a celebration of a project I led on from our side. I really should go but the thought is filling me with horror at the moment. It's an evening thing in Bristol, and we'd need to come back on the same day as work wouldn't fund accommodation (and I'd need to get back to deal with the kids for school etc anyway). It's perfectly doable assuming the trains run ok, and there are several potential ones, I've got a colleague willing to come along, so I just need to put my big girl pants on and stop worrying about it.
I think I've just used up my 'social' allowance this week. I went into the office on a different day to usual so saw several people that I haven't seen since we moved offices. It was nice to catch up with them all. I also went out with a colleague in the evening for a meal and to a talk. It was very interesting and I enjoyed it. I should make the effort to do more of that sort of thing.
We had parents evening this week and got glowing reports for both kids, so I'm very proud. There has been a lot going on at school this week too so there's been a lot of running around and a lot to remember.
I'm hoping for a quieter weekend this weekend. We'll need to go and buy a new curtain rail for the front room as little jwil accidentally pulled it down earlier in the week and we can't fix it. (It was already broken, so it wasn't his fault). I hated it anyway, so it's no real hardship to finally get to replace it
I've washed the curtains ready for them to go back up once it's done.
Apart from some heavy rain showers, we've largely avoided the bad weather that a lot of the country seems to be having, hope everyone is keeping safe, particularly Scottish friends."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I emptied my paypal account this morning. I've already padded the survey money, but didn't withdraw it from Paypal, so I figured as I hadn't missed it, I'd re-PAD it

I'm feeling a bit better today thankfully, and have a bit of mojo for once!
I've started decluttering some of the kitchen cupboards, and have got rid of some out of date food. It's probably useable, but as I keep keeping it thinking it is ok to use, but still haven't used it, I thought it was time to suck it up and get rid of it. I will not re-buy it! Much as I hate food waste, it's not doing any good in my cupboards, so better to get rid and learn from it.
I've prepped a load of veg, some which we will eat today, and some will be frozen for another day.
Roast is in the oven. I like to eat at lunchtime on a Sunday if we are not doing anything, as then I feel like I get an evening off cooking.
I've prepped a birthday gift for this week, and will look out a card later. I've also booked little miss's day out for her birthday.
I'm hoping to achieve something today. Have a good day everyone
