I took a late lunch break yesterday to take my car back to the garage to have the rattle resolved. They did it there and then and the car sounds back to normal now. I'm so relieved, and that's one thing ticked off my mental load. It was stressing me out. They didn't charge anything, so even better.
There is a lot going on at work and I'm being asked to join projects that other departments are doing. In the absence of any real leadership I'm going ahead, and it's good to make new contacts and learn from others, but it takes me well out of my comfort zone and is a challenge on top of everything else at the moment. My brain is overfull. However, should we ever hear anything more about the restructure (we were meant to hear at the end of Sept, but haven't) and I get a new manager, then at least I'll have lots of progress that has been made, and partnerships. I asked for some advice yesterday and got told 'I don't know', so just went and did my own thing. It's so frustrating.
There is loads going on at school at the moment, so knowing who needs to be where and when, and with what, is another big load on my mind. It's nearly half term though. I'm working it, but think I might try and take a couple of days off alone afterwards, to try and have some time to myself and refresh.
I got a letter from the NHS yesterday saying they are going to assess little miss for ASD. I'm pleased on the one hand, but on the other thinking that it's yet more appointments to try and find time for. It will hopefully be good for her, so I will do what needs to be done. They say there will be several appointments, but I don't know when or how frequently they will be yet.
I want to upgrade little miss's tablet for her birthday. The big river site has a deal on at the moment with a decent discount. I can also trade in our spare one to get an additional 20% off and a £10 gift card so I need to do that today before the offer expires. It should make a new, better tablet, a great deal, and will give me a new free subscription for a year for the kids (which costs me £4 a month at the moment) and also a 2 year guarantee on the new tablet. It also includes the case etc so no need to buy it separately. Great deal on the tablet.
Sorry about the mental load. A few days off to yourself sounds a great plan.

Thank you. It's very frustrating at work. I had a good chat with my colleague yesterday who is in the same position as me. It did help.savingholmes said:Great deal on the tablet.

We're back up to the hospital today, so I've an early start at work to try and work around it. Hopefully we'll be in and out quickly. Other than that, thank goodness it's Thursday."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thank you, it went well. Just send a photo next week, and they'll see if we need to go back. Hopefully not!Sun_Addict said:Hope the hospital visit goes well.
