Payday today, but to be honest my brain is not in the right place at all. The last couple of days have been horrendous, as DH had an accident at work and is in a hospital 50 miles away. I'm very much having to face my aversion to city driving.
He's ok (mostly) and the hospital stay is preventative, but please send coming home vibes today. 🤞🤞"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

Hope DH comes home today. The good news may well be that it is weekend & they seem to get everyone out that they possibly can. So fingers firmly crossed.

Thank you everyone for the support. Unfortunately he's still in but fingers crossed he'll be able to come home tomorrow.
I didn't go up yesterday in the end as I was in such a state of anxiety I wouldn't have been safe to drive. I was going to go by train but there were strikes and coaches/buses were either non-existent or not at convenient times so would have taken hours. Public transport in this area is a mess! Although I felt terrible at leaving him up there without any company, it's done me good though having a day of rest, and I'm ok again to travel up today. Fingers crossed just one more trip (alone) after that. He might have to go back for check ups but hopefully not too frequently.
Unfortunately I've got no one to help with the driving, as the only family I have here, I needed to look after the kids.
It's made me realise I take him for granted a little bit, and spend so much time getting irritated about little things, I forget how much I really rely on him, and he's my rock. So hopefully I'll improve my own behaviour in future."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
