Thank you.  I thought about looking at a bank package.  I want to know the policy details as this is joint for us both, and covers us not the vehicle, so we can use it anywhere.  We also have 2 cars, the camper and the motorbike which would need to be on the policy so I need to make sure that's the case.    Looking at the quote, the policy itself is just over £200 and then over £70 on admin!  It's ridiculous. Last year we paid less than £200 and that covered us for 15 months.  I did a comparison site search and a similar policy with the same company was listed at £100 though with an excess.  My first step will be to ring and haggle hard.  If I can get it for less than £200 I'll stay, if not I'll switch.

I'm doing well with survey cashouts this month, that's bumping up the PADs.

I went to bed early last night, and spent 30 mins or so in a dark room just watching ocean waves on you tube.  That helped settle the soul a little bit.  I didn't sleep brilliantly last night, but better than it has been, so I'm feeling a little better today.

The heating actually kicked in for an hour or so last night!  Must be getting chillier.  I had to dash around closing windows etc when I realised it was on, as I still had them open to air from the painting.

I've put a first coat of paint on the other two bedroom doors opening on to the landing. They were both a hideous orangey brown colour.  Even though they need another coat, it's amazing how much brighter it looks already.  I know I'm doing it in the wrong order, but it's easier to do that when no one's home as the gloss takes so much longer to be touch dry than the normal paint.  I'll get on to the ceiling and walls maybe over the weekend, and then leave the second coat to another Friday.  I won't do any more painting today as I need to get on with tidying the house.

Last weekend, I spotted several moths which I didn't recognise.  Googled them and found out they were box hedge moths.  I went out and had a look at our small box in the garden earlier and it looks like it's been decimated.  So that will probably need to come out now.  It's not a huge problem as it gets in the way of the washing line, but it's a shame as it's a very mature plant!

    Well done little miss 👏

Moths 😱 Can’t stand the flapping 😱We’ve had some unusual little ones with bright pink wings attached to our front door but couldn’t be doing with the big ones. There was a really funny FB post from a local group where teenage lads had been running away from tiger hawk moths - not so brave lads eh 🤣
