Thanks everyone
I'm still feeling rough and sleeping badly at night which isn't helping. I've started taking some probiotics today so hopefully they will help.
DH got some stronger painkillers from the GP and seems better today, he's like a bear with a sore head though so just irritating me
He forgets that when I feel bad I just have to get on with it!
I've not done much today other than a little tidy around.
A couple of small ebay sales yesterday so I padded that this morning."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

Morning everyone. I had a bit of a better sleep last night, though still awake in the night.
Today we are packing little jwil's stuff for his residential next week. Making sure we've got everything.
We are also baking for little miss's brownie badge.
I've also decided that I am going to paint the landing and hallway ourselves. I'm going to do it all white so I don't need to worry about edges
I should be able to reach everywhere with an extendable roller. That will freshen it up and make it look cleaner, and then if at some point in the future I want some colour I can get someone in to paint it properly. I might get some new curtains and use some accessories to add a splash of colour.
So this morning we'll go and get the stuff we need for decorating little miss's cake and also anything I might need to decorate the hall. I should have plenty of gloss, so probably just a tin of white paint and some brush cleaner for the gloss. I think we've got everything else, so I won't need to spend a fortune. I just want to have it all in, so when I've got time to do it, I won't have to faff around.
It's absolutely chucking it down here, and we've had some thunder and lightning as well. No car boots today, hurrah! DH has sold another two items though so we'll get that posted.
Have a good day everyone."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

Thanks both. I didn't go to the DIY place in the end as there is too much water on the ground and it floods regularly around there. We went to the local supermarket to get the cake decorating stuff, and I managed to pick up some white spirit there. That was probably the most urgent bit needed. I might order paint online. Looking at FB I definitely made the right decision as there's lots of flash flooding around the town and surrounding area. Even places I've never seen flooded are under water!
Little jwil is having an almighty strop at the moment, so his electronics have been removed.
Little miss is busy decorating her cakes.
Happy days!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee3
