Back to work today. DH is still off so hopefully him and the kids will be busy.
I've logged on to PA for the first time in over a week to find that my pending balance is still pending! I'd have hoped at least some of it would have been approved by now. At least when it does come I'll be able to do a couple of nice PADs.
Lots to do so better get on. Have a good day everyone

Dh took the kids to the cinema today for a double bill so that left me in peace to get on. Work is crazy busy again, with more being added by the second it seems! I did work out that I'm only working 8 days for the rest of this month, so that cheered me up a bit
There are some more meetings on the restructure tomorrow, so hopefully we might hear a bit more.
I managed to break the toilet cistern lid today. The toilet hasn't been flushing very well for a while, and I took the lid off to see if there were any obvious issues. I accidentally banged it on the sink and it smashed in half! 🤦♀️ No idea whether we can just get a replacement.
I've done a few more surveys this evening, so more added to my pending balance. Maybe everyone's on holiday. I'm itching to do a better PAD

Ouch to breaking the cistern lid.

If this is your ‘fancy’ coloured toilet - check to see if you can get a replacement - my yellow one years ago broke, we got managed to get a new one but my insurance afterwards said if I hadn’t found one they would have replaced the entire suite 😢😤😤😤Sealed pot challenge 822

Oh great news, I don't think I would have considered eBay, thank you!Sunshine_girl2 said:My niece recently got a replacement cistern lid off eBay .Hope you get some good news from the restructure meetings tomorrow. Plus look forward to your PADs this week.

Best part of the day working out how little I'm working this month

I'm looking forward to the time off (having been back a whole day...)
It is my fancy yellow toilet, but we already have a white cistern as the yellow one cracked a few years ago, so we just need to look for a white one. We won't go through insurance (however tempting it is to try and get a new bathroom from there!), as I think we only paid about £60 for the cistern anyway, so worst case scenario. Equally I could just push on with getting the sink and toilet replaced, but although I'm very keen to do so, I'm also now very reluctant to spend the moneydawnybabes said:If this is your ‘fancy’ coloured toilet - check to see if you can get a replacement - my yellow one years ago broke, we got managed to get a new one but my insurance afterwards said if I hadn’t found one they would have replaced the entire suite 😢😤😤😤
I'm half thinking I want the savings to be bigger first so I don't wipe them out. "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -

Work meeting wasn't much help really. It sounds like more will be known after September.
I've finally had surveys approved on PA - I cashed out this morning, and enough approved to cashout again this evening. As I can only cashout once per day, it means I can PAD tomorrow and the day after. I still have a fair amount pending as well.
I've had a review request for one of my debts, and the offer to discuss a settlement. I might ask them what they are offering, but unless it's amazing I probably won't go for it. Those debts are 0% so they can just tick over for now. Again, it would likely wipe out my savings and I'm loathe to spend them, even though it would be amazing to clear the debt!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Frustrating on the job situation.
The debt review could be a positive - but I completely get why you'd want to keep an EF.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
