I'm glad I'm home again as I miss my own little place, but feel rather wobbly and fragile at the moment I went to bed at 8.30pm last night and apart from a loo break at 12 30 I slept until just before 5 am
.I'm up now but have no appetite at all, They gave me some strong painkillers to help which do work, but I will phone the surgery later today to find out if its OK to resume taking my BP tablets and blood thinners as I have atrial fibrillation and an irregular heart beat as I had to stop taking them hospital,
I don't like the idea of mixing tablets up in case it does more harm than good
Both the girls have been great and text or phone regularly I just wish I felt a bit stronger, I'm not used to being a wobbly old lady ,even with my walking stick which I am at the moment having to use to get around the house ! ! .
But definitely no housework will be done for a week or so.
Two of my grandsons are coming to see me this morning, bless them they are lovely lads. Ben and Jack, their brother Henry is in London working, but he said he will pop round tomorrow, and Mikey finally got his DBS check back and is starting today at the SEN holiday club that his older sister helps to run.
He was desperate for it to arrive as apart from wanting to get started there, he needs to work during his vacation time from Uni to earn some extra cash.
DGD's new flat fell through yesterday as the previous tenants have refused to move out, even though they were served notice three months ago and haven't been paying any rent. Luckily my youngest DD is a property manager and estate agent and found her a place fairly quickly as she and her soon to be ex-husband have sold their house, and he is going off with his new lady to live in Dubai.
So she wanted to find somewhere to rent pretty quick.Luckily her lovely Aunt found her a place and hopefully she will get the keys next Wednesday as soon as the paperwork has gone through Yesterday was quite a fright day for them all. Apparently the council have told this tenant to stay put until the bailiffs arrive so the landlady has to not only have the fact she's out of pocket for the rent for months as they stopped paying, but she has to get bailiffs involved and the locks changed What a carry-on. She told the tenants three months ago it was originally only a short term let as she hadn't made her mind up to sell it or rent it out as her Dad had died last September and it was still a bit raw.
I feel for people, but the landlady is a lovely person who gave them lots of time to try and find somewhere but they are digging in their heels in the hope of being rehoused by the council. A difficult situation all round I think.
So both my DDs were scrabbling around trying to sort something out quickly and also pick me up from the hospital. It certainly was a frantic day for them both as my DGD has virtually completed and got the removals van sorted as well for a week today.
Ah well I guess it will sort itself out, two of my grandsons (her cousins Ben and Jack) will help with the move as they are big strong strapping lads and think the world of their little cousin , hopefully the ex-husband won't appear for his sake, as they may want a 'quiet' word with him about how he broke her little heart .They are very protective of her
Bless her she's a lovely lass and was devastated when she found out he was chasing with someone else, I hope she finds someone who will appreciate her in the future as she really is a lovely caring lady.
Right I'm going to make a cuppa now it might give me an appetite
Cheers chums
