Glad to hear your family and the SMART team are taking care of you so well. Hope you continue to get better and stronger so you can have your procedure and get back to your old self. Although the weather we.ve been having just lately you would probably be staying indoors now anyway. Thank you for keeping us all up to date with your progress take care.4

I'm so pleased to hear you're back in the comfort of your own home and that you have the support of the team as well as your lovely family. It's a shame they couldn't do your procedure while you were in hospital but I'm sure they'll get round to you asap. In the meantime, stay safe and well. I know you'll find the enforced confinement at home very trying since you're normally such a busy person but at least you'll be in familiar surroundings and be able to eat and sleep when you want. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.6

London_1 said:Thank you everyone for your good wishes I have slowed down considerably in the past month. I have a lovely team of nurses whom I speak to daily. They come every two days to check and change the dressings in the drain, or my "Gucci bag " as we call it
My two DDs and grandchildren have all been amazing, and I'm barely allowed to lift a finger. I do tend to nod off quite a bit as I do tire very quickly, but the nurses said its normal and just follow my body it will let me know how I can carry on.
I was supposed to go to the theatre this Friday as part of one of my Christmas presents but that not going to happen but my DD has got her sis-in-law to go instead. As a 'virtual patient' I cannot go out at all, its really sensible as they don't want me to catch anything that will halt the procedure when a slot becomes available. Plus of course everything takes twice as log to do anyway at the moment But my eldest DD is brilliant and collects any washing or shoping I need and the youngest one pops in daily to tidy round and hoover bless them.
I really am very blessed with my family and am a very lucky lady to have such a caring lot around me.
I hope soon as I'm back to normal again I will be able to treat them all to something nice as a thank you.
In the mean time thanks to each and every one of you for all your good wishes, and I promise I will behave myself

So sorry that you had to miss the theatre. Hopefully, you'll be able to see the show once you've fully recovered.

Still patiently waiting for the phone call to say I've got a slot.
Good job the weather isn't very nice, or I really would be miffed as I like to get out in the sunshine for a daily walk.
At the moment confined to my house, just watching the world go by from my sitting room windows. But these things too will pass, and I'll hopefully be up and running once more.
Is it me or is January the looongest month ever, it seems never ending doesn't it. Roll on the spring and the daffodils

Awww Jackie
I am glad to hear you are back at home and feeling more yourself.
I hope your recovery comes on fairly quickly for you and that your procedure all goes to plan and you can be on the mend and back to your old ways.
You have always seemed a very active person and enjoying being out and about doing bits and pieces so I can imagine this is a challenge to you. xTime to find me again5
