Good evening chums, well still in the hospital and not long until Friday, and the procedure. I'm hoping they will be able to do the stent at the same time. I so want to get back home, and yet I know they are doing their best for me.
Still don't fancy much to eat at all but toda,y I had a small pot of creamed rice at lunchtime, and tea time I had a little pot of custard.
I've never had any of those little Ambrosia pots they give you before ,and as its soft then I can eat it, so not a great deal of food but I get two bags of vitamins morning and night, and at least its something, as last week I was only drinking water, and if I want them I can have an Ensure meal replacement .
The two DD's nag dreadfuly about eating, but having zero appetite means I'm not really fussed about food at the moment.
Once they put the stent in my appetite should improve a bit, as I will at least be able to swallow something more substatinial. Not even my favourite cuppa and ginger nuts ,so my eldest DD says Mum you must be feeling crook
Now the noisy nuisance has been transferred elsewhere at least its peaceful.
The little lady in the bed next to me came back from the loo around 3.30 this morning and I said 'are you OK Maureen'? and she said with a cheeky grin
"Jackie I've just heard a pin drop." Which made me smile, we had all been losing vital sleep because of this awful rude demanding woman who seemed to think the hard pressed nurses were there to wait on her hand, foot and finger.
Bless them they did their best, but she was extremely rude, and quite nasty to some of them, extremly racist as well and never stopped making horrible remarks, and they had been nothing but kind and gentle with her.
She spent hours moaning and wailing about how she should be in far better accomodation, and getting better treatment than what she was getting.
Turned out she had a broken ankle, and yet to hear her youwould think she was at deaths door, The other five of us ended up looking like zombies because she just wouldn't keep quiet at all especially duing the night.
But they finally found somewhere else to park her and peace reigns once more on our little band of old crocks
It seems strange, I was just thinking I've not been to a shop this year at all !! as I came in on the 30th December. My Dd made sure there is nothing to go off in the fridge and put the rubbish out and my next door neighbour is keeping an eye on the place.
I really hope I may get out after the weekend hopefully , just to sit in my own comfy chair surrounded by my bits and pieces will make all the difference.
DGS Jack started his new teaching job He is at a boarding school in Goudhurst about 20 mies away He's got super accomodation, and house shares with an Australian lass, and a South African lad. He said the facilities are jaw-dropping and many of the student are from overseas, and he is really enjoying it there.
He can come home at the weekends if he wants to and I think he's got a pal who is going to pick him up this weekend, and he says he will pop up to the hospital to see me. The family all have worked out a rota, so I am never without visitors, and it helps to pass the time at least. I'm still looking forward to my own bed though.
Just normality resuming will be nice, I have such a lot to do and lying here plotting out this coming year i'm not a patient patient i;m afraid .I'm not used to idleness or being ill
but I'm doing as I'm toldwhich makes a change I suppose .
Thank you all for your good wishes, and fingers crossed,
" Normal service ill be resumed as soon as possible"
Those old enough to remember, its what used to be flashed on our tv screens when things went wrong
Take care everyone , no doubt when I do get to the shops at some point i will collapse with shock at the price increases
Good Night, God Bless all here
