I bought two of these (different colours and sizes) both fit and are long enough (not long, but I am over 5'8") and comfortable. One of my "proper" nightdresses was going transparent at the back. 100% cotton it was so old the fabric split the same week the new ones arrived!

Oh goodness Foxgloves - A&E doesn't sound good but I'm glad you're being looked after. I was very bluntly told I was "being booked in for a hysterectomy" a few years ago - and had to fight pretty forcefully to get offered a medical solution rather than the clearly preferred (by them) surgical one. they were utterly astonished when I smiled a pointed out that I wasn't, because a) I'd not consented to any such booking, and b ) we'd not even started discussing what the alternatives were. In the end I DID get a medical route offered - which I am still managing with now - so if you still feel strongly that you'd rather not undergo surgery it may be worth being at least a little stubborn, if you feel able to be. of course your situation may well be entirely different to mine, but thought it was worth sharing the experience nonetheless. The best judge of the right path for you is YOU though.
