Glad you're feeling well enough in yourself to report cephalopods news! Do make sure to rest up as much as you need rather than what you feel the usual foxgloves productivity merits, these things are a shock to the system x
Edit- I don't know if 'a shock to the system' is a particularly London/working class phrase? I'm sure you get the gist anyway5 -
hopefully you will get a good night’s sleep and start to feel on the mend at least a little tomorrow. Xx🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Take it easy and enjoy Mr F looking after you. I had some dental work recently (a wisdom tooth out) and you have my sympathies as it is not fun. Time to catch up on some reading and dramas?2025 decluttering: 4,011 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Morning Frugal Friends,
Thanks for all your good wishes. Had a bad night as just couldn't get comfortable in the 'head-above-heart' position I was instructed to sleep in.....it's not usually a problem for me, as I do have one of those comfortable arch-shaped support pillows. Ah well, it will pass. The surgery was only yesterday, so I must be patient.
As for resting...well, I am being Queen Sensible of the Sensible People. Dentist said I would be more swollen today & even more swollen on Sunday & I do have a duck-egg of swelling on my jaw. So today's plans are to make a soft roll filled with mashed avocado & a raspberry smoothie for my lunch, try to finish reading my current book & to progress current pair of socks for the Presents Bag while catching up on a couple of TV programmes.
As I briefly mentioned yesterday, I received an email from the Cephalopods last night. I don't yet have our Aug - Sept energy usage/cost figures to update my chart, as they haven't yet sent it, but they did sent an email to say their prices are dropping & that from October, our monthly DD will be reduced from £120-17 to £79-15. As we are at over £600 credit on our energy account, I did think this might be a possibility, but as we have not yet embarked on the colder period when we will be using the heating, I was surprised it was such a significant reduction. No doubt they will be swift to increase it again should it look as though we are not building sufficient reserves for the year ahead, but for now, I will be more than happy to find a use for that saved £41.02. A boost to the Presents Pot at this time of year (birthdays mostly winter-based too) will be most useful, I think.
Right, I can hear a cat getting up to something, so I will sign out & go & sort out their elevenses biscuits, then it will be resting/knitting/TV time. Dentist phoned me yesterday late afternoon to see how I was feeling once the anaesthetic had worn off & he seemed to think everything was sounding perfectly normal. Hopefully the swelling & pain will begin to recede next week. I do have quite a few stitches in my mouth - I lost count when he was suturing, but I think there are about 9 in total.....though of course it feels like 109.
